Hi All,

There will be an introductory session on Google Summer of Code program, conducted by
the past years' participants from Sri Lanka.

Assuming Google will conduct the program for the year 2011, we would like to encourage
many new participants from Sri Lanka this time again to be top of the world producing
the most number of successful participants for the year 2011. We are planning to give
an introduction to the program, the applying procedure,
benefits, sharing past experiences, introduction to useful
FOSS tools to get things started and finally a Q&A session.
Session will be conducted in English, Sinhala & Tamil

Date : Monday, 17th of January 2011

Venue : SET, Faculty of Science,
            University of Peradeniya

“Google will provide a stipend of 5000
USD per accepted student developer. After your proposal gets accepted,
you will receive 500 USD. After passing mid-term evaluations you
will be awarded with 2250 USD and if you successfully finished your
