Knight Rev. Fr. Bernard Branson. We hope that you and your Assembly members will join us to
honor Fr. Branson and the class by your participation in the Degree.
The schedule for the day will be:
         Registration of Candidates……………………………………………..9 a.m. to 12:00 noon
         Exemplification ……………………………………………………………………..12:30 p.m.
Ladies Luncheon and Entertainment ……………………………………………..12:30 p.m.
Mass and Knighting Ceremony ……………………………………………………4:00 p.m.
         Banquet and Dance ……………………………………………… 7 p.m. to 12:00 midnight
All applications must have the candidate’s membership number and date of First Degree, the
Candidate’s name, the signatures of the Financial Secretary of his council, Navigator and
Comptroller of his Assembly. He must have been a member for at least 6 months and must be a 3rd
Degree Knights. Only the Supreme Master may grant waivers for less than six months. The first two
pages of the application, along with the full initiation fee, shall be sent to the District Master (by the
Navigator), and must be received prior to March 4, 2011 to allow sufficient time for printing of the
banquet program and arrangement of banquet seating. Checks should be made payable to Knights of
Columbus Fourth Degree. Since signatures are often difficult or impossible to decipher, please
enclosed a typewritten or printed list of candidates and proposers with the applications.
The initiation fee is $70.00 for laymen (including Deacons) and $37.00 for Clergy. This fee will
cover the Degree, a social baldric, a lapel pin, certificate, and one Banquet ticket. A suspender baldric
will be available at a cost of an extra $5.00. The cost of additional banquet tickets for wives, friends or
other members is $32.00 each. Enclosed is a banquet reservation form to be used by all members and
candidates to order additional banquet tickets. Please copy this form as needed. Forward all
completed banquet forms to me no later than March 4, 2011. So that all may attend the banquet, I ask
that any hospitality rooms be closed on Saturday night from 7 p.m. until the banquet is completed. The
Hotel may provide a cash bar at the banquet room. NO ONE is to take private beverages into the
banquet room. Thank you in advance for you attention to this requirement.
The official attire for candidates is black tuxedo, black bow tie, white formal shirt and black shoes.
It will be the candidate’s responsibility to make prior arrangements for the purchase or rental of his
attire. Rental arrangements have been made with Anderson’s Formal Wear, 1401 Fairfax Trafficway,
201 Building C, Kansas City, KS 66115. Telephone 1-800-877-4653. Further information on attire
arrangements is enclosed with this mailing.
Because the Honor Guard Regalia includes a tuxedo and many social events that your assembly will
sponsor may also require a tuxedo, you may wish to consider purchasing a tuxedo for this purpose.
Hotel rooms are available at the Airport Hilton on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19, 2011,
at the special rate of $75.00 plus tax (single or double). Make your reservations directly with the hotel
at 1-816-891-8900. Ask for reservations and tell them you are with the Knights of Columbus Fourth
Degree to receive the above rate. You must guarantee your reservations with one night’s deposit or a
credit card to hold the room past 6 p.m. Reservations must be made by 12 p.m., Wednesday,
February 23, 2011.
Sir Knight Pete Lorenz, Western Marshal, requests that as many Honor Guard members as possible
dress out for the Degree, the Mass, and the Banquet. Much help will be needed.
  Items to remember:
      All membership applications to me by March 4, 2011;
      Banquet reservations to me, by March 4, 2011;
 Hotel reservations directly to the hotel by Wednesday, February 23, 2011
Please feel free to make any necessary copies of this letter or enclosures as needed. All
information and forms are also available on the Missouri Knights of Columbus web site at

you in Kansas City on March 19, 2011.
