Seventh Grade Class Trip

Students will visit OMSI’s environmental science and meteorological exhibits as part of our unit on Earth Day.
After the trip, each student will design a report on what they learned. Students will also propose science fair
projects based on their trip.

Any students who cannot attend the field trip will be supervised by Mr. Samuels, the 8th grade teacher at our
school. Their assignment will be to research and design a project related to environmental science or
meteorology, the same subjects that will be covered during the field trip.
Please make sure that your child brings the following items along on the trip:

 Light jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt

 Backpack or school bag

 Notebook and pen or pencil

 Medications (if any) and instructions

 Pocket money for purchasing souvenirs (optional)
