for Life
FivePoint Credit Union employees, family
members and friends participated in the Relay
for Life walk on April 24, 2009. The event was held
at Bulldog Stadium, which benefits the American
Cancer Society. The FivePoint Relay Team, called
FivePoint Fury, raised $25,034.57 and was named
2009’s Super Team of the year! Also, one of the
credit union’s employees, Candy Harrison, was
named 2009’s Leader of the Pack. This award is given to a cancer survivor who
demonstrates the true spirit of Relay for Life
through leadership, fundraising and advocacy. We
are all so proud of you Candy! FivePoint would like

to Bridge City Project Graduation
John Gothia, President of the Bridge City Project
Graduation Committee, turned to the media to
ask the golden triangle for help. Bridge City was
short $25,000 from the 2008 fund raising figures.
Because of Hurricane Ike the donations were down
and fundraisers didn’t flourish like in the past. He
said Bridge City wanted to give their students the
celebration they deserve and asked anyone to
contact him to donate money or giveaways.
