Grand Rapids Student Bar Association (GRSBA) Outline Purchase Policy

Purpose: The GRSBA Outline program represents a means to assist students with their studies
by providing outlines for classes created by fellow Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Cooley)
students who achieved a grade of “B” or higher in the class. The outlines can be purchased from
the GRSBA for $2.00 for the individual use of the outline.

Definitions:
Student: Any currently enrolled Thomas M. Cooley student, regardless of campus.
Outline: An outline from a class in which the student received a grade of “B” or higher.

GRSBA Outline Purchasing Guidelines for Students:
 Outlines for particular classes are available for purchase from the Student Bar Association for
   $2.00 each.
 The student must sign the Outline Purchase Contract.
 Once the student’s request for an outline is complete, the student must return the form to the
SBA Office along with $2.00 per outline.
 Outline requests will be processed at the end of the week and will be emailed to the student’s
Cooley email account from Maria Palacios (palaciom@cooley.edu).

Student Responsibilities:
 Once the outline has been emailed to your Cooley email account, it is for your personal use
and is not to be shared with any other student, by ANY means, including, but not limited to:
emailing the outline to fellow students or copying the outline for fellow students.
 Understand that the GRSBA does not accept responsibility for the accuracy of the outlines
   provided.
 Understand that the GRSBA does not guarantee the content of the outlines and does not
guarantee a good grade as a result of using student outlines.

                                                 1
A violation of any of the above listed GRSBA Outline Purchasing Guidelines for
Students or Student Responsibilities will constitute a school related ethical violation in
accordance with Thomas M. Cooley’s Student Policy Manual, Chapter IX. Section C. 3
Chapter 2, which states:
As used in this Code, the term "School related ethical violation" means any lying,
cheating, stealing or plagiarism, or the toleration of lying, cheating, stealing or
plagiarism, that affects the School's operations, academic integrity, educational
environment or reputation in the academic or legal community.
