                                    It is a requirement of the Society Act that the BCAPA obtain and enter your residential address into the Registrar of Members

                                                          ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A person who meets the following criteria is eligible for membership in the society as an Associate Member:
1. is engaged either part-time or full-time as an archaeologist;
2. has a Bachelors degree in archaeology, or anthropology with a specialty in archaeology, or an equivalent combination of training,
    research and writing experience which meets the qualities and standards of the society;
3. has 18 months (360 working days) of archaeological experience, including one year (240 working days) of archaeological
    experience in British Columbia. Days of experience include not only field work, but also lab work, data analysis, site forms,
    reporting, and other archaeological research activities. Up to 15% of the time needed to meet this criterion (54 days of total
    experience and 36 days of B.C. experience) can be volunteer time.
4. has 9 months (180 paid working days) of archaeological consulting experience, including 6 months (120 paid working days) of
    archaeological consulting experience in British Columbia. Days of experience include not only field work, but also report writing,
    proposal writing, background research, overviews, meetings, and other aspects of consulting work. Volunteer time can not be used
    for this criterion.
5. has made a contribution to an archaeological overview or impact assessment report which meets the qualities and standards of the
    society;
6. has a demonstrable understanding of all relevant legislation.

                          An application for associate membership shall include the names of at least one
                      BCAPA member in good standing who has agreed to sponsor the applicant for membership.

                  Branch, it would be beneficial to append a copy of the acceptance letter.
