Button accordions made by Italian craftsmen and sold to the Irish market in New York City are the subject of a research project that grew out of a lecture I give on the McNulty family. [...] we would like to know who actually made the parts and completed instruments, wltich accordions were made in New York City and wltich were imported, and how these manufacturing patterns changed across the twentieth century.
