Student Business Conference -Innovation in pedagogical processes with regard
    to linking students and the business community. Students present their best
    cases, linked to the business practice.

Portorož Business Conference - The conference brings together top executives,
    researchers and policymakers to discuss relevant contemporary issues
    shaping business, society and the environment in Slovenia, its wider region,

University degree in Marketing
 The programme is based on the three-year Bologna degree
 system which prepares students for employment in any marketing
 or business area. The first two semesters consist of general
 economics and business courses, whereas in the next four semesters
 students focus on specific courses in the marketing area. The
 courses are aimed at stimulating interaction and teamwork,
 promoting creative thinking, building analytical skills, and
 developing business ethics and social responsibility.

 After completing their studies, students have many career
 opportunities in Marketing Research, Advertising, Brand

The International Business Programme:
 Is one of the first Bologna graduate programmes offered in English.
 It is a traditional programme at our faculty.
 Is one of the most internationally oriented of the programmes
  offered.

Master in Bank and Financial
Management (Double degree)

 Programme covers the broad area of the financial management
 of businesses, banks, and other financial institutions, as well as
 the operation of financial markets. The program also provides
 financial knowledge for nonprofit organizations and the public
 sector. In addition to theory, there is also an emphasis on
 practical matters in obtaining and investing funds or money
 management. The goal of the programme is to enable students
 to receive applicable knowledge in the area of finances that is
 sought and valued in both the business world and the public
 sector.

The aim of the MSc in Money and Finance at the FELU is to provide
such understanding to students whose ambitions are to as skilled as
their peers on international job market. Special care is devoted to
give the student a solid background knowledge of economics and
quantitative tools. The growing complexity of financial markets in a
globalized world is making such a knowledge a necessity for good
analytical skills. Equipped with it our students will be given the
opportunity to master its use in a selection of applied courses that
will be offered each year.

Master in Economics (Double degree)
An important part of the tradition of Ljubljana's Faculty of
Economics is the emphasis placed on economic theory in its
academic programme and research work. This programme is
grounded on fundamental, demanding courses in economics. The
curriculum in general economics is intended to produce classical
specialists in macroeconomics, capable of working as national
analysts or for example, journalists.

International Full-Time Master
Programme in Business Administration
 The curriculum of the IMB programme is organized in 6 thematic
  modules with classes from Monday to Friday in the morning as well the
  afternoon. It is based on the principle “from general to specific”:
         • We begin by developing tools for the analysis of company’s
           environment.
         • Then we move on to discussing separate areas of managers’ work.
         • Next is integration of acquired knowledge and
         • Orientation toward research regarding various problems in the
           processes of change and internationalization of organizations.
 In her/his thesis student demonstrates her/his ability of independently
  approaching and solving a concrete problem by using knowledge
  acquired during prior course stages.
 Students’ knowledge is assessed based on classical exams and project
  assignments.
 The course is taught in English.

International Full-Time Master
Programme in Business Administration
ADMISSION
 The admission requirements are:
    •   Bachelor’s degree
    •   2 reference letters
    •   Interview with the Programme Director
    •   Completed application form
    •   Proficiency in English

   Selection process is carried out during the first two weeks of June.
   Personal interviews are arranged with the program director,
   Professor Janez Prašnikar. Telephone interviews are conducted with
   students coming from abroad. Enrollment in the IMB program is
   concluded after successful interview with program director in the
   second week of September.

European Master in Tourism
Management (Joint programme)
 The indispensable complexity and growth of tourism demands
 professionals with a far-reaching and integrated understanding of
 the subject. The EMTM aims at giving students advanced knowledge
 in tourism management in order to become international
 professionals, innovative entrepreneurs and consultants, government
 and public administration officials, tourism business managers,
 qualified employees, and academic researchers in the field of
 tourism.

 This master recognizes that tourism is inherently of a multidisciplinary
 nature, but the focus of this Master is management of tourism in a
 proper, e.g. sustainable way.
European Master in Tourism
Management (Joint programme)
 The EMTM programme begins in Esbjerg, Denmark, at the
  University of Southern Denmark. All students meet at the end of
  August for the introductory program and the first semester of the
  EMTM programme.
 Then they move to Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics for the second
  semester, and finally to Girona for their third and last semester
  together.
 The fourth semester is reserved for thesis research, which can be
  carried out at any of the participating universities.
 Students are assessed through traditional exams and project
  assignments.

The international MBA programme of International Center for
Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) conducted in collaboration with the
The FELU brings the core concepts of business management to those
who need to broaden their managerial and strategic perspectives,
enhance their business instincts and sharpen their ability to tackle
management challenges.

Consortium Master in Business
Administration in Macedonia
 The Consortium MSc programme has been tested in Slovenia
  and proven to render outstanding results. Slovenia's major
  exporting companies as well as financial institutions have
  decided to enrol their promising employees on the Consortium
  MSc.

 As for its organisation, the programme is highly professional,
  thus providing the students with a relaxed and stimulating
  environment.
Consortium Master in Business
Administration in Macedonia
   The programme lasts for two years and consists of 15 courses. There are
    two meetings within each course. Lectures are held on Friday afternoon
    and Saturday morning twice a month on the premises of the Skopje Fair
    in Skopje.
   Students will receive the course material in printed version or via the
    Internet at the beginning of each course. The material is in English.
   The actual course procedure and methods of evaluation (i.e. exams and
    assignments) are determined by the Course Director before the
    beginning of each course. The lectures include a number of case studies
    related to the states in transition that the students will analyse from
    different perspectives. In that way, the learning process will be
    connected to the real problems that the Consortium member companies
    and banks face.
   The official language of the studies is English.
   The defence of Master theses will be held in Ljubljana.

 A bachelor's degree

 A minimum of one year and a maximum of ten years work experience

The maximum number of participants in a group is 30. Specific track
will be organized if minimum 10 students will be interested.

Master Programme Information
Management (Double degree)
The Academic Programme fully corresponds with the Business
Informatics master’s programme at the Faculty of Economics in
Ljubljana, but the student completes their study obligations
representing one semester or 30 ECTS credits at the partner
university.

A student writes their master’s thesis in English in co-mentorship, with
one mentor coming from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana and the
other from the University NOVA, ISEGI. After fulfilling all their
obligations the student obtains a double degree from both the
Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana and the foreign
partner university. The institutions award the following titles:
     • Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana: Bologna Master
     • NOVA-ISEGI: M.Sc. in Statistics and Information Management

 ENROLMENT
    A student has to comply with the enrolment conditions for the Business
    Informatics programme along with the conditions of the partner
    university.

 TUITION FEES
     At the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana a student pays
     a proportionate share of tuition fees according to the number of ECTS
     credits awarded at the Faculty of Economics and half of the fees for a
     master’s thesis.
     Tuition fees at UNL-ISEGI amount to EUR 2,250. This amount includes one
     semester of studies and half the price of a master’s thesis.

    Accommodation and travel costs along with other costs of the partner
    university are to be entirely covered by the student.

Public Sector and Environmental
Economics (JMPSE)

          Students interested in studying public sector issues
              have the opportunity
          to enroll into joint (triple) degree programme of
              three institutions:

             The Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana
              (The FELU),
             The School of Economics and Business, University
              of Sarajevo (SEB) and
             The Faculty of Law, Political Science, Economics
              and Management,
             University of Nice – Sophia Antipolis (UNICE).
Public Sector and Environmental
Economics (JMPSE)

          To obtain joint diploma students enrol into the
           home institutions and have to spend the third
           semester in the partner university (The FELU or
           SEB).
          To obtain three diplomas (The FELU, SEB and
           UNICE) students have to spend one semester at
           the partner institution (The FELU or SEB) and the
           third semester at the UNICE. For triple diploma
           the third semester is in French (at the University of
           Nice).

        The doctoral programme lasts three years (six semesters).

Doctoral Programme in Economics
and Business
ADMISSION
 Anyone that has completed the following is eligible to enroll in the doctoral
  program:
 A second-cycle degree program (the Bologna master’s degree),
 A university undergraduate program,
 A specialization program and a prior professional higher education
  program if they meet the program academic requirements of 36 ECTS
  credits.

   Pursuant to the transfer criteria, students can enter the doctoral program if
   they hold a master’s degree or have completed a specialization program
   and a previous university program. Upon entering the program, students
   are awarded 60 ECTS credits pursuant to the law. The students do not go
   through the selection procedure and the transfer is carried out by
   recognizing exams that the students passed in the previous program.

Selection criteria
The following are observed in the selection of applicants:
 Second-cycle degree performance: up to 30 points
         •   The grade point average in the second-cycle degree program:
             up to 15 points,
         •   The second-cycle degree: 15 points.
   Oral exam score: up to 70 points
         •   The work/research plan and motivation letter: a total of up to 40
             points
         •   The student’s research work to date (published articles and other
             publications): up to 20 points,
         •   Other criteria (e.g., GMAT or GRE scores, awards, recognitions,
             etc.): up to 10 points.
Doctoral Programme in Economics
and Business
 Curriculum
 The academic load of the Doctoral Programme in Economics and
 Business comprises 60 credits per year; specifically, 60 ECTS credits
 as part of organised forms of knowledge and 120 credits
 connected with writing and defending a doctoral dissertation. The
 total academic load thus amounts to 180 ECTS credits.

 Tuition fee
 The tuition fee for the Doctoral Program in Economics and Business
 amounts to 4100 € per academic year.
 Upon submitting their applications, applicants pay the first part of
 their tuition, which represents the oral exam costs and ammounts to
 250 €. An invoice will be sent to the student before the start of the
 selection procedure.
