Kemuel L. Stubbs a focus Bahamian entrepreneur, born in Nassau but spent his early years on the
Island of Orange Creek Cat Island in The Bahamas. I am a professional photographer of Seventeen (17)
years and owner of Softouch Photography. I am a graduate of Government High School and attended
the Hotel Training College located in Nassau; additionally, I attended New York Institution of
Photograph and pursued numerous seminars and workshops in The Bahamas and Internationally.
Few people are able to spend most of their time pursuing their passion in life; I am one of them,
and I feel blessed to have had a love affair with photography. My love and interest for photography
begin as a hobby and has developed into my life-long profession. In 1992, I decided to abort my
intended career as an Hotelier in the position of food and beverage manager in favor of photography
and have never regretted it. Photography has enriched my life more than I can tell you. My career has
taken me too many countries, and I've seen and photographed wondrous things.
I began taking photographs of family, friends and various captivating views. One unforgettable
event was when I took some photos in the background at his uncle’s daughter wedding a family
member’s home; months later when the photos was viewed it was assumed that the photos were
taken by a professional photographers. Everyone was so impressed with my photos; it was at that
moment that I realized photography was my passion.
Over the years I had numerous achievements such as being asked to be the lead photographer for
the Bahamas Bridal Show. I also was given the contract to photograph the Nassau International Airport
in 1995. Additionally, for the past 13 years I was contracted to work as an independent contractor as
the official Photographer for Superclub Breezes hotel Wedding department.
I have held various posts over the years; in December 2009 I was elected President of the
Bahamas Professional Photographers and Videographers Association. As president I was instrumental
in my association joining up with two other Bahamian companies in raising funds for the earthquake
victims in Haiti. My essential goal as the president is to take our profession to a higher level.
We strive to exceed customer expectations and total customer satisfaction is our goal.
