As Caspian environmental coach, transferred technical and behavioral skills in line with

Corporate HSE Manager and Executives (With production of over two million barrels of

- Supported the development and implementation of the environmental management
system for the Gulf of Mexico operations meeting the ISO 14001 Standard (First such
certification in the Gulf) and an “enhanced EMS” for combined upstream U.S.
operations.
- Managed multiple special projects including site closures, development of Gulf wide
waste management procedures, industry/regulatory interactions and Gulf Platforms for
Research Program.

-Responsible for coordination and oversight of HS&E Team and its support to Amoco
international exploration and production projects from pre-capture through production in
over 22 countries. Directed special work process development initiatives including
multi-disciplinary team process for exploratory drilling operations, HS&E risk
assessment process, and HS&E Management Systems.
-Successfully negotiated required environmental approvals for three production-sharing
agreements in the Caspian Sea.
SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST

-Coordinated or participated in various Amoco environmental programs with geographic
emphasis in the former Soviet Union. Primary responsibilities were to provide technical
and management direction for developmental projects ranging from the Arctic Circle to
the Caspian Sea.
-Lead or provided support to various strategic planning task forces, public/community
relations campaigns and regulatory liaison activities.
-Co-managed the environmental baseline assessment of the Priobskoye Field,
Nefteyugansk, Russia. Task included on-site supervision of over 25 Russian, Canadian,
and American technical experts. The overall program assessed 50 sites for contaminates
and pollution, including detailed mapping of each site, with collection of water, faunal,
and sedimentary samples for analysis from priority locations. Encompassed all ancillary
functions of contracts administration, budgeting, procurement, and development of
community and government relations. Served as HS&E coordinator for Amoco Caspian
Sea Team from 1992.
-Acted as in-house consultant regarding environmental regulatory affairs at local,
federal, and international levels in behalf of Amoco-wide subsidiaries.
