Guidelines for using the church vehicle
1. The vehicle is intended for the use of our church sponsored outings. The vehicle
will not be rented or loaned out for any other purpose.
2. The vehicles will be scheduled on an appointments basis – first call reserves the
bus. To schedule the use of the bus, please call the church office during regular
office hours. It is recommended that you schedule your trip at least two weeks in
advance.
3. The keys to the bus are kept in the church office. Keys must be signed out and
signed in: therefore keys need to be picked up during office or worship hours.
Issued keys are given to the following church positions: Pastor and Trustee in
charge of vehicle maintenance. Keys will be issued on a per use basis for all other
users. Drivers must be on the Insurance Company’s drivers list, and been
approved by the Board of Trustees to drive the bus.
4. The vehicle is a fifteen passenger vehicle including the driver. Please do not
allow more than fifteen people to ride in the vehicle. If an accident occurs and it
is determined that the bus was over crowded, the insurance will not cover the
accident.
5. The vehicle will be kept under carport provided and must be returned there.
6. The users are expected to do general clean-up of liter and excess dirt.
7. Fill out the “Church Bus Usage Request Form” in the bus before and after use.
The user is expected to provide the gasoline. The church vehicle will be filled
with gas and the oil, water, battery, etc. will be checked before you pick up the
vehicle. The group using the vehicle is responsible for filling the vehicle with gas
before returning the vehicle to the church. Note any service or repairs required
on form so that the trustee in charge of bus maintenance can perform the
necessary repairs.
