Position Title: SECRETARY/BOOKKEEPER TRAINER

Reports To:   Internal Auditor

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing training and mentoring for school and/or department Secretaries and Bookkeepers.
Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     Provides training and support for various budget functions related to a number of accounts such as
       activity funds, general funds, grants and building fund.

2.     Provides training and support on the Oracle software pertaining to budget functions.

3.     Provides training and support on general elementary office procedures.

4.     Provides on-going support to school and/or department Secretaries and Bookkeepers.

5.     Provides telephone help support for schools/departments on business office procedures and financial
       software system.

6.     Helps in developing PowerPoint presentations for training.

7.     Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by the Office of Business Services.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
       MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
       Specialized training beyond high school or equivalent experience

       MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

       Two (2) years of highly successful school experience
       Two (2) years bookkeeping experience in Douglas County Schools
       Two (2) years budget experience

       SKILL REQUIREMENTS

       Oracle software
       Bookkeeping experience in Douglas County Schools
       Budget experience
       School office procedures
       Effective communications skills
       Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
       PowerPoint

         Has the ability to meet attendance standards and work the hours necessary to perform the
         essential functions of the job
         Maintains a generally positive attitude
         Observes all District policies and procedures
