Historically, these students have been asked to study and write about a cultural institution-and there are many-that calls Syracuse home. This task is threefold in nature: to introduce them to the city they'll call home for the next year, to urge them to make necessary contacts within the cultural institutions for future journalistic assignments, and to compile an article for a newspaper. And that's where The New Times came into this process.
