When we use that dipper to fill other people s buckets - by saying or doing things to increase their positive emotions - we are filling their bucket as well as filling our own bucket. When we let others know that we notice the little things, a nice shirt, a nice note, a new hair cut, not only do we demonstrate behavior that shows others that we care, we are filling buckets, both theirs and ours. Doesn't knowing that you've affected another's life in a positive way make you feel good about yourself? I'm sure it does.\n I've had students claim this was one of the most memorable and impactful assignments of their college experience.... impacting lives without their knowledge of who did it.
