2008 National Conference Venue Proposal Guidelines 1. Venue Location A: Is the venue located in an area that is easily accessible and will draw many conference attendees? 2. Venue Location B: Is the venue location easily accessible and one that will attract a high degree of participation by our Organizational Partners and other sponsors? 3. Venue Facilities: Are the venue facilities sufficiently modern, spacious, and equipped with technology for our conference needs? 4. Program: Will the planned program be attractive to potential conference attendees (local and national members and non-members) and OPs: plenary/featured speaker(s), types and number of concurrent sessions, other sessions or events? 5. Promotion: Are promotion methods cost-effective and sufficient enough to attract large numbers of attendees: posters, ads, email notices, web forums, web notice boards/calendars, contacting boards of education? 6. Manpower: Will the organizing chapter be able to recruit sufficient numbers of members and other volunteers with sufficient experience and expertise to organize a successful conference of the scale envisioned for the National Conference? 7. Budget: Is the budget well-planned, realistic, and not deficit-producing, containing realistic revenue estimates and comprehensive but not extravagant expense estimates?
