using all of the squares.
Questioning: “Can we color the decimal in just the thousandths square?”
Students color their decimal in the thousandths square using three colors to
represent tenths, hundredths, and thousandths.
Questioning: “Which way did you like to build your decimal the best? Why?”
“How can you represent tenths on the thousandths chart? Why does that
