We also seek to support the access to immunization in less developed countries 3 Sanofi pasteur and public health At sanofi pasteur, we recognize the specific needs and expectations Public Health Authorities may have in addressing their goal of improving citizens’ health, including competency enhancement programs. 4 Sanofi pasteur and public health In response to these needs, sanofi pasteur offers different levels of scientific and technical training in countries around the world for health workers including Public Health representatives, fulfilling our commitment of being a reliable PUBLIC HEALTH PARTNER. 5 What is the purpose of this scholarship “To support the development of Latin American public health experts, who can help advance the standards of healthcare in our region” 6 What the offers? Tuition and fees for the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at Harvard School of Public Health, Boston Massachusetts, U.S. Start: Fall 2010 (August/September) Travel: one round trip ticket from hometown to Boston, Massachusetts, U.S 7 Who is eligible? In order to qualify for this scholarship, candidates must: Be born and live in a Latin American country* and plan to return to their country or another Latin American country upon graduation Have a graduate degree in medicine Have worked in the public health field in Latin America* for at least 2 years * Where official language is either Spanish or Portuguese. See Annex 1 8 Who is eligible? Be totally fluent in both Spanish (or Portuguese) and English: reading, writing and speaking Provide an updated C.V., with a recommendation letter from an educational institution or a supervisor Provide a copy of birth certificate and proof of residency 9 How will the candidates be evaluated and chosen? Academic and professional experience and performance Communication skills in Spanish (or Portuguese) and English Desire to direct own career in Latin American public health matters Availability to be fully dedicated to the scholarship 10 How will the candidates be evaluated and chosen?
