FACULTY & STAFF:
As of 8:10 am 8/24/10, there are 15 open faculty/staff parking stalls available. Reminder – please park in marked
parking stalls. There are still faculty/staff members who are parking along the Portables behind the Auditorium when

All Faculty members will be allowed free entry to all home athletic events, please have your ID available for gate staff.
Parking fee ($3) will be charged to all if using upper campus parking. Auditorium parking is free.
The next Advisory session is Friday 8/27. Please read the lesson plan for week #4 ahead of time. Freshmen should
report to the auditorium for an assembly. Sophomores will go over the parts of a resume and fill out personal
information and references. Juniors will go over the portfolio requirements and learn about their secondary items.
Seniors will go over the transition plan rubric and samples. Please lotus notes me or drop a message into box #92 or

Showcase before Open House (8/26) from 5:00 – 5:45 pm. Let me know if you’d like to use a table to share info about

Great time to see theatre in Oahu! The Beauty and the Beast national tour will be at the Blaisdell Center and a portion
of event ticket will be donated to the Castle Performing Arts Center! Take the family and support CPAC! At Diamond
Head Theatre “Crazy for You” opens 9/24. A big tap dancing musical starring Castle’s own Natalie Jolly Uehara as a
featured lead! Come see Natalie sing, dance and act!!! And of course, CPAC presents the drama “The Outsiders”
9/24 – 10/3. Teachers interested in the school show periods 2 & 4 on 9/22 should see me as soon as possible.

Open to all students!! Castles Marine Corps JROTC is having a company orientation this Saturday, August 28th from
8am – 12pm. There will be activities such as tug of war, ghost in the graveyard, and a 3 leg race and much more.

Reminder for 9/2 Monsanto field trip forms are due today 8/25 to CCRC in Room 38. Your opportunity to either learn
more about farming operations, the machinery and mechanical systems OR about Bio tech; corn research including

Knights! Home coming Dress-up Days are as follows: Tuesday is Tacky Tourist; Wednesday is Twin day; Thursday is
Hollywood look-a-like day; and Friday is class color. Dress up and support your class! See posted Flyers.
Drivers ED Fall Semester class will start soon. Pickup an application from Mr. Duque’s room LGLC1 from
August 26 – 27 during lunch time only. The application is due on Sept. 1st. Students will be selected on Sept. 3rd.
The class will start on Sept. 7th. You must show your drivers permit in order to pick up an application. Good Luck!
Tomorrow is your last day to purchase your Senior class t-shirt. Go to Rm. 6 concession at lunch only. Checks

Hey Knights! Know what time it is? Home coming time! Time to show off your school spirit! And what better way to
do that then in style? This year’s home coming dress up days are tacky tourist day on Tue, 9/8, wear your aloha print
clothing, knee length shorts and accessories, Wed 9/9 is twin day, where you and a friend wear identical or very
similar clothing, Thu 9/10 is Hollywood look-a-like Day where you dress up as a Hollywood celebrity/character. You
need a picture of who you are imitating as well, Fri 9/11 is class color day, so be sure to wear maroon! Remember to

The Invisible Children club is back! We will be focused on raising money for our sister school in Uganda. Come to our
1st meeting in Rm. 34 on Friday 8/27 we will have cookies and will watch a movie. Come make a difference in the lives

Hey tennis players come join soft tennis and help Castle hold their own against Kalani & Kaiser this weekend. They
bring their best players from the school. We need more people to fill the team. Come play Monday, Wednesday, and
