MassMutual Retirement Services Adds Four New Offerings and
Changes two Fund Managers of Retirement Plan Investment Options
(Springfield, Mass., January 14, 2002) – MassMutual Retirement Services has added four
investment options and six new managers to the more than 70 offerings available to retirement
plans in its Concert Investment Program.
         The new investment options are:

 MM Fundamental Value will be managed by Wellington Management Company. This
investment option is designed to offer an actively managed traditional large cap value
 MM Large Cap Growth will be managed by Alliance Capital. Within the Concert
investment lineup, this option offers an additional, actively managed large cap core growth
 MM Small Company Value will be co-managed by T. Rowe Price and Clover Capital
Management. The new option will provide a disciplined offering within the small/mid cap
     Value asset class.
 MM Small Company Growth will also be dual-managed by Mazama Capital Management,
a boutique firm, and Allied Investment Advisers, an aggressive and flexible firm. Within
Concert, this option represents an aggressively managed small cap growth offering.
The new options were added to enhance the existing investment offerings, with the objective
of providing access to high-quality long-term investment opportunities for instututional
retirement plan sponsors. These options provide further diversification within the investment
program by manager, asset class, style and strategy.
Two other investment offerings will be changed as a result of MassMutual Retirement
Services’ ongoing due diligence efforts, which combine internal expertise with that of Kanon
Bloch Carre, an independent investment analyst.

Wellington Management Company has replaced J.P. Morgan as co-manager of the MM
Small Cap Growth Fund. Bernstein Research & Investment Management has been added as a
co-manager to the MM Core Value Equity Fund. Bernstein is the "value" style investment unit
of Alliance Capital. These changes illustrate our commitment to continuously monitor all of the
program’s investment managers, and should be seamless to both plan sponsors and participants.

managers, the Concert Investment Program is among the finest in terms of both quality and
