For Immediate Release:

                       Meyer Capital Management, Inc. Receives
2004 Better Business Bureau Torch Award
                                for Marketplace Ethics
Recognizing companies that go above and beyond good business ethics
Cincinnati, OH—Meyer Capital Management, Inc., an employee-owned investment advisory firm that provides
investment counseling and portfolio management services located in Anderson Township, was among five local
companies to win the 2004 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics by the Cincinnati Better Business Bureau.

Recognized as the premiere event to promote integrity, trust and honest business in Greater Cincinnati, the
Torch Awards honors those businesses and organizations that are fully committed to maintaining the highest
standards of marketplace ethics and integrity. Torch Awards nominees included 70 companies, and more than
100 charities.

―Client relationships built on trust and integrity make all the difference. In a crowded marketplace, it is hard for
even sophisticated consumers to assess an investment advisor’s trustworthiness,‖ explained Tim Meyer,
president of Meyer Capital Management, Inc. ―The Torch Award gives consumers an objective, credible way to
identify ethical companies. Meyer Capital Management is proud and honored to be recognized as a part of that
group.‖

―The Torch Award encompasses the spirit and tradition of the BBB unlike anything else,‖ BBB President Jocile
Ehrlich said. ―It recognizes and honors businesses and organizations who fully commit themselves to ethical
practices in all aspects of their business dealings.‖

The Torch Award recipients were chosen by a distinguished panel of independent judges that included: Dr.
Daniel Geeding, Vice President and C.F.O., Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati; Ann Marie Tracey, J.D.,
Assistant Professor, Accountancy, Xavier University; Dr. Robert Faaborg, Associate Professor, Philosophy,
University of Cincinnati; Sandra Hughes, Global Privacy Executive, Procter & Gamble. The judges evaluated the
applications based on the eight judging criteria established by the Council of Better Business Bureaus and the
International Torch Award Program. The finalists were chosen by the judges based on the overall scores; the
Torch Award recipient being the top finalist in each category.

About the Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics
The Cincinnati BBB was founded in 1926 when the economy was roaring. Consumers needed to be able to rely
and trust the companies they dealt with on a daily basis. The BBB’s founding members recognized that need
and formed an organization that would set standards, lead the way, and promote a better, respectable and more
ethical marketplace. The Torch Awards are a continuation of the BBB’s 78-year tradition and commitment to
furthering that mission.
