        mammography screenings, diagnostic mammograms and breast ultrasounds.

American Breast Cancer Foundation

       Provides financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured women and men of all ages for
       breast cancer testing. This includes annual screenings for women over 40, as well as support
       services for breast cancer patients. Financial assistance grants are available to eligible women

       screening and diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, surgical consultations and emergency

Medicare Hotline
       Federal health insurance program for those who receive Social Security benefits. Eligible
       individuals include those who are 65 and older, people of any age with permanent kidney
       failure, and disabled people under age 65 who have received Social Security payments for at
       least 24 months.

Medication Manufacturers’ Indigent Drug Program
       In addition to free educational materials, almost all pharmaceutical companies also have an
       “Indigent Drug Program”, which provides medications to people who cannot afford them. Your
       physician must apply to these programs on your behalf, but you can call and obtain the
       applications and information yourself. Amounts and eligibility will vary greatly from program to

       assist in meeting their financial needs and to reduce the stress and strain that managing cancer

Veterans Benefits
       Eligible veterans and their dependents may receive cancer treatment at a Veterans
       Administration Medical Center. Treatment for service-connected conditions is provided, and
       treatment for other conditions may be available based on the veteran’s financial need.
