Stan McCormick, EVP, corporate counsel and secretary, Frost National Bank, San Antonio, currently serves as the president of the Texas Association of Bank Counsel, a TBA-affiliated organization founded in 1976 to connect bank lawyers like McCormick all across Texas. McCormick was born in San Antonio, but moved to Houston at age 3. From Houston, McCormick went on to Austin to earn a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the McCombs School of Business and a law degree from the School of Law, both at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating from law school McCormick spent a decade in the private practice of law with a Washington, DC, law firm. After a decade in Washington, DC, McCormick returned to his birthplace of San Antonio. In the late 1980s, McCormick was hired by Frost as a real estate consultant. McCormick currently serves as the Mayor Pro-Tem for the City of Alamo Heights.
