This will be a reminder of the joint College/International Insolvency Institute
presentation on current international issues which will proceed in the Rhode
Island Room from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006, immediately
before the Annual Induction Ceremonies.

The joint session will feature presentations by three new International Fellows of
the College and a presentation by Boston Fellow Dan Glosband on the initial
experiences under the new Chapter 15 of the Bankruptcy Code, the Code’s new
international insolvency provisions.

The other speakers will be new International Fellows Eberhard Braun (Germany)
on reorganization practice in Germany (including responsibilities of directors
and officers) and a continental perspective on international experience under the
new European Union Regulation on Insolvency Proceedings (the functional
equivalent of a European bankruptcy treaty), Michael Crystal, Q.C. (London) on
new developments in U.K. insolvency practice and the role of the Courts in U.K.
reorganizations and Jonathan E. F. Rushworth (London) on directors’ and

officers’ obligations in insolvency and pre-insolvency situations in England. By
way of background, Dr. Braun is both a lawyer and a CPA and is the senior
partner of one of Germany’s largest insolvency and restructuring firms; Michael
Crystal, Q.C. is quite possibly the best known insolvency barrister in the U.K.
and Jonathan Rushworth is a senior partner of Slaughter & May in London and is
one of the most experienced insolvency practitioners in the U.K. (And Dan
Glosband needs no introduction to the Fellows of the College!).

Attached is a paper prepared by Dr. Braun for the Fellows of the College for
everyone’s reference. The paper will be posted on the International Resources
section of the College’s website. We would remind Fellows and International
Fellows of the College of the opportunity to post their papers and materials on
topics of international insolvency interest on the International Resources section
of the College’s website.

Several other International Fellows of the College will be in attendance at the
Annual Meeting this year (including International Fellows from Canada,
Germany and Japan) and we would encourage all Fellows to meet and get to
know their international counterparts from around the world. We look forward
to a fine College/III presentation at the Annual Induction Ceremony.




This is also a reminder of the Joint Dinner being arranged for Fellows and
International Fellows of the College and Members of the International Insolvency
Institute on the occasion of the III’s Annual Conference in New York in June.
The Dinner will proceed at New York’s Cornell Club on the evening of Sunday,
June 11, 2006 and all Fellows and International Fellows of the College and their
spouses and guests are warmly invited to attend. Further details are being
circulated by our Chair, Evelyn Biery.
