                                                                                                           Verizon proposes a 12 panel triangular antenna array (i.e. four 8-foot
                                                                                                           panels on each side) at the top of the tower. Access will be by an
                                                                                                           existing road in a gravel pit and a 280± ft. extension of the road. Utilities
                                                                                                           will be installed underground.

                                                                                                             On June 11, 2009, the Agency received a proposal from Verizon for an
                                                                                                             alternative to the 74-foot tower. The alternative is for a 92-foot tall
                                                                                                             simulated tree tower which would provide for co-location by a second
                                                                                                             telecommunications carrier on the tower.

                                                                                                           The site is located east of the Adirondack Northway in the Town of North
                                                                                                           Hudson, Essex County adjacent to the northbound High Peaks Rest

                                                                                                           appropriate design standards where applicable; and to incorporate
                                                                                                           design features to safely accommodate bicycle access.

                                                                                                             The project will provide for some localized areas of reconstruction and
                                                                                                             drainage improvements which will require the fee acquisition of a small
                                                                                                             area of Town of Forestport owned property by the NYS DOT. This is in
                                                                                                             addition to some acquisitions of state forestland under the control of
                                                                                                             New York State DEC and strips of privately held land. Some of the areas
                                                                                                             needed are to correct the migration of the existing pavement off the
                                                                                                             existing highway right of way over time through a sequence of
                                                                                                             construction and maintenance activities. Other parcel strip takes are
                                                                                                             needed to address and correct geometric deficiencies which have
                                                                                                             resulted in safety deficient locations such as poor sight distance areas.
