The tightened economy has caused a high level of uncertainty for the immediate
future which is forcing companies to provide not only superior products and
services, but also to anticipate where and when the next product or service
innovation will occur, while closely controlling existing processes. Organizations must
utilize their existing Resources, People and Processes, to realize performance
improvements though this challenging economic period.
Performance improvements will be effective with the enhanced quality of products and
services, control and monitoring of environmental performance, energy conservation
initiatives and safe practices. Sustainability has to be established & ensured through
management systems and best practices in respective areas. This is applicable to all sizes
and types of organizations in the areas of manufacturing and services. We have to find
out ways to reduce wastes & consumption pattern by innovative practices and systems to
enhance profitability, stakeholder's confidence, social accountability & involvement.
Baroda Productivity Council has planned to hold the 6th Indian Congress on Quality,
Environment, Energy and Safety Management Systems to make a ready platform for the
participating organizations to share views, information and interact for enhancing

           The theme for the 6th ICQESMS will offer many learning opportunities for
attendees to participate in a variety of forums — presentations, keynote addresses,
interactive sessions like panel discussions & technical sessions. We invite you to be a part

             Baroda Productivity Council (BPC)

Baroda Productivity Council (BPC) was established in 1959. It is affiliated to the National
Productivity Council (NPC) New Delhi, which is a part of the Asian Productivity
Organization, Tokyo, Japan

         BPC focuses on training people as a continuous method of identifying and
upgrading Human Skill - Technical, Behavioral and Managerial - to cover managers,
entrepreneur, industrial workforce, students, etc.

          The training contents of BPC programs are impeccably research and syllabi
structured not only to meet the present needs but also of the future. New programs are
continuously added to fulfill the new expectations. Being non-profit organization, the fees
are most reasonable whereas the facilities are the most sophisticated.
The Baroda Productivity Council organizes a number of events every year to remind
citizens of the Productivity Mantra to make Productivity A way of Life. Good House
Keeping Contest every two years amongst large, medium and small scale industries, with a
focus on “Health, Safety & Productivity”.

The Municipal Corporation has also recognized the role played by the Council in the City’s
development by naming the road on which the BPC is situated as “Productivity Road”

          Baroda Productivity Council & National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)
(Ministry of Textile Govt. Of India) are conducting programs jointly to Promote
entrepreneurial skills amongst the present generation.
    Centre for Quality Management System, Jdavpur
                 University (CQMS, JU)

Centre for Quality Management System in Jadavpur University ( CQMS, JU) at Kolkata
works in interdisciplinary area for the improvement of performance in Quality,
Environment, Energy and Safety aspects in industries and institutes. Jadavpur
University is one of the centres of excellence in the country. CQMS, JU propagates
awareness for enhanced employees participation & developing entrepreneurship. It
carries out research, training and consultancy work throughout the country. CQMS, JU
is the initiator of ICQESMS.
Congress Proceedings
Proceedings containing key note addresses and full text of accepted papers will be
published by Planman Marcom Pvt. Ltd in collaboration with Oxford Publishing House
and circulated widely among the delegates and sponsoring organizations free of charge.
Copies will be made available for sale.

Technical Sessions will comprise of keynote addresses & presentation of papers. Invited
Chief Executive Officers (CEO), Educationists & Trade Union (TU) Leaders will address on
the theme of Congress in panel discussion in CEO & TU meet.
ICQESMS 2010 Excellence Award will be given to selected papers. Business Excellence
Award to industries & Excellence Award to personalities having outstanding contribution

                          Objectives of ICQESMS
The Congress provides a platform to the industries, educational institutes, research
organizations, trade unions, management associations, regulatory bodies, autonomous
organizations, NGOs, and govt. representatives to mutually exchange their views,
opinion, facts in the field of theme and sub theme of the Congress.

The Congress ensures the meaningful participation of stake holders in the industrial
development of the country by bringing success stories, case studies, shop and plant
level improvements into limelight.

The Congress ensures the involvement of the stake holders in the improvement process
and for their meaningful participation in the economic Development of the country.

The Congress provides the opportunity to the participating industries and others to know
and appreciate each others with respect to the problem, finding out solutions,
implementation of the work related solutions and result/benefit thereof.
