Elaine Lord, recently retired Superintendant of the LEGAL CLINIC VOLUNTEERS Bedford Hills Correctional Facility will be our featured speaker. Bedford Hills is the maximum security prison for North Albany (School 20) women in New York State and is nationally renowned for its Roxanne Gordon, Coordinator innovative programming for women, particularly in the areas Ron Orlando of domestic violence, sexual abuse and parenting programs. Ms. Lord will share with us her years of experience in a South End Albany (Albany Housing Authority) changing world for women, both for those who work in the Roxanne Gordon , Coordinator criminal justice system and for those who end up on the Meredith Savitt other side of the locked doors. We are fortunate to again Margaret Vella have Susan Arbetter of WAMC Northeast Public Radio as Mistress of Ceremonies. This event is held each year as a The Women’s Building way for us to highlight our programs and thank all of our Ellen Schell, Coordinator volunteers and community partners, and to give awards to Julie Friedman David Levy those who have gone above and beyond in their pro bono Deb Sheehan Joann Sternheimer efforts. As always, it was a hard choice to make, as we are so appreciative of all of the work of our esteemed panel of Unity House volunteer attorneys. This year, we have selected three Abe Bolgatz, Coordinator attorneys and a law firm for awards. Jennifer Corona of Nancy Harding Lombardi, Reinhard, Walsh & Harrison will receive the Kurt Jill Nagy Clobridge Memorial Award for Pro Bono Service; Camille Siano Enders will receive the Brigid Nolan Memorial Mechanicville Domestic Violence Advocacy Program Award for Pro Bono Service to Victims of Domestic Anne Reynolds Copps Violence; Julie Cabou will receive the Stanley A. Rosen Memorial Award for Pro Bono Service; and the Barry A. Bankruptcy Anthony Arcodia Gayle Hartz Gold Law Firm Leadership Award will be given to Ehrlich, Frank Brennan Leigh Hoffman Hanft, Baird & Arcodia.
