                                                                      COURSE OBJECTIVES
                                                                      This course is an update in Geriatric Medicine
                                                                      for providers of direct care. Through plenary
                                                                      sessions and interactive workshops, some of
                                                                      the basis for geriatric care will be reviewed but
                                                                      practical applications of advances particularly
                                                                      in the area of cognitive disorders and their
                                                                      management will be emphasized. Each
                                                                      workshop session will be approximately one
                                                                      hour duration. Over the two days, registrants
                                                                      will be able to participate in a total of four
                                                                      workshops out of thirteen. The emphasis in the
                                                                      workshops will be the working out of clinical
                                                                      examples with ample opportunity for questions
                                                                      and group participation

                                                                      Ce cours offre une mise-à-jour en médecine
                                                                      gériatrique aux médecins de soins primaires.
                                                                      Par les séances et les ateliers, l’accent sera
                                                                      placé sur la mise en pratiques de progrès
                                                                      cliniques récents. Chaque atelier dur environ
                                                                      une heure. Pendant les deux jours, vous
                                                                      pourrez participer à quatre ateliers parmi un
                                                                      total de treize. Les ateliers vous fourniront
                                                                      l’occasion de réviser les cas présentés dans le
                                                                      cadre des discussions de groupes, avec une
                                                                      attention particulière accordée aux questions
                                                                      posées.
