Terms and conditions

    1.   This sponsorship agreement is between Veritas Investments WLL (“Veritas”, “we”, “us”) and
         the sponsor listed on the accompanying order form (“Sponsor”, “you”).
    2.   This agreement specifically covers the Event or Events listed on this order form (“the

         contracts made and to be performed entirely therein. This document and attachments are a
         complete and exclusive statement of the terms between the two parties and can only be
         changed in writing and signed by both parties.
    4.   Veritas Investments WLL is registered at Level 41 West Tower, Bahrain Financial Harbour,
         Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.

  Sponsor benefits
    5.   You will receive all the sponsor branding, delegate contact and speaking benefits
         appropriate for the package you have ordered, as listed in the Sponsorship Opportunities
         document or referred to on the contract. Any agreed variation to the standard packages are
         listed on the contract.
    6.   Veritas is responsible for all marketing, promotion, agenda and speaker management for the
         a)   Sponsor logos and/or names will be displayed on all possible documentation and
              material created after the date of this agreement, subject to the details being received
              by Veritas. Precise details of the documentation and material for the particular Event
              are available on request from Veritas.
         b) Sponsors will be listed in the order the packages are displayed in the Sponsorship
            Opportunities document.
         c)   Sponsors will be listed alphabetically where there is more than one sponsor per
    7.   Veritas will fulfil requirements relating to sponsorship of the Event including inter alia lunch,
         refreshments, audio-visual equipment and other standard facilities for conferences with
         international delegates.

  Inviting guests
    8.   Sponsors may supply the names of guests to be invited to the conference for a reduced rate:
         a)   All guest invitations must be sent by Veritas and we reserve the right to refuse entry to
              anyone not invited directly by Veritas.
         b) There are generally no restrictions on who you may ask to be invited but Veritas
            reserves the ultimate right of veto.
         c)   We provide a deadline for notifying us of guests, and we may not be able to invite
              people who are notified to us after this date.
         d) We do not provide any guarantees of attendance for sponsor-invited guests.
    9.   Sponsors, delegates and guests are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and
         transport costs.
    10. A pre-conference delegate list will be available no earlier than two weeks before the Event.
        A post-conference delegate list will be available seven working days after the Event.

Payment terms
 11. Of the fees listed in the contract, payment is due as follows:
     a)   50% upon contract signing
     b) all remaining fees are due one month prior to the Event
 12. Payment fees do not include value-added tax (VAT).

Changes and cancellation
 13. We reserve the right to change Event details if necessary, although we will endeavour to
     keep all changes to a minimum. We will inform you as soon as possible of important
     changes, for example name or date changes.
 14. In the event that we cancel the Event for commercial reasons such as lack of support then all
     charges paid by you for the specified services will be refunded. You agree that under those
     circumstances you will not have any further claims against us. Liability will be limited to the
     fees paid.
 15. Once the contract has been entered into, if you subsequently decide for any reason to
     withdraw from the event or reduce your original commitment, you will immediately inform
     us in writing and will be liable to pay the following cancellation charges:
     a)   Cancellations received 2 (two) months prior to the Event will receive a rebate of 50% of
          the fees paid to that date
     b) Cancellations received 1 (one) month prior to the Event will receive a rebate of 25% of
        the fees paid to that date.
     c)   Cancellations received less than 2 (two) weeks prior to the Event will receive a rebate of
 16. In the event of you giving written notice at any time prior to the event of your intention to
     cancel the services or in the event of your failure to occupy the stand space by the day prior
     to the opening of the Event, we will have absolute discretion to reallocate the display space
     without being under any liability to refund or abate any charges paid or due except as
     provided below.

Force Majeure
 17. We reserve the right to cancel the Event by reason of Force Majeure, including but not
     limited to fire, flood, extreme weather conditions, acts of war or violence, malicious
     damage, explosion, earthquake, strike, civil disturbances, political unrest, riot, labour
     dispute, power cuts or any other extraneous variable beyond Veritas’ control.
 18. Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform its part of this Agreement in the event of
     Force Majeure as listed above, provided that those events could not be foreseen or the
     effects of these events prevented, when the contract was entered into.
