Naval Live Oaks Youth Camping
The Naval Live Oaks Youth Tenting Area is located on the north side of Highway 98 in Gulf Breeze, Florida. All year long, this area is reservable for organized youth groups comprised primarily of young people under the age of 18. The area is open for groups of ten people to a maximum of forty, allows tenting only, is well-shaded, has access to numerous trails and is within short walking distance to Pensacola Bay. There are numerous picnic tables and grills, bathrooms with flush toilets, an extra-large cooking grill, outdoor rinse-off showers, and a large fire circle. For youth groups between 10-25 people, the camping fee is $20 per night. For groups of 26-40 people, the fee is $30 per night. Check-out is at noon and reservations may be made up to six months in advance. Please detach the bottom portion of this form and mail your application along with full payment to “Gulf Islands National Seashore, Headquarters Office, 1801 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563 attention: Chaunita Webb”. If mailing in payment, only checks and money orders payable to “National Park Service” are accepted. (please write DL# and SSN on the front of personal checks) If paying in person cash and checks are accepted. Reservations are not accepted by phone or fax and campground rental fees are non-refundable. Once reserved, you are required to check-in between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Naval Live Oaks Visitor Center, located on the south side of Highway 98, just east of the Group Camping area. Here you will receive the combination to open the gate to the camping area. While using the Youth Camping area, please keep the gate closed and locked behind you, remember that pets are not permitted within the camping area or on beaches, vehicles must stay on paved areas, and fires are only permitted within grills.
