SHINING STAR AWARD

							The Geary County Board of Education presents the Shining Star Award to selected USD 475 staff
members. The award recognizes persons for:

        1. Outstanding service to community, reflecting credit upon the school district;
        2. Outstanding service to students and the school district;
        3. Outstanding achievement reflecting credit upon the school district.

In addition, nominees must have been employed for at least two (2) years by USD 475 and demonstrate
excellence in their job performance.

Students, parents, staff members, volunteers and school patrons are encouraged to make nominations.
Fill out the form below and send it to the Communications Coordinator at the Mary E. Devin Center for
Education Support. (see address at bottom of form)

Award winners will be recognized at the NOVEMBER, FEBRUARY, and APRIL Board of Education
meetings. Nominations may be submitted at any time. The selection(s) will be made from those
nominations received prior to the month of presentation. NOTIFICATION IS GIVEN ONLY TO AWARD
WINNERS, NOT TO ALL NOMINEES.
