									                                                 ADMISSION PROCEDURE
                                        for foreign citizen (2010/2011 ac. year).
                                             PACIFIC NATIONAL UNIVERSITY


      A foreign student wishing to apply for admission to Pacific National University in 2010/2011 academic year
                must submit the following documents (by mail, e-mail or a student's representative):

 filled in Application for Admission form;
 copy of the educational document (see below p.1), notarized and legalized in home country, including a page
with the legalization mark – DON’T NEED THOSE WHO APPLY FOR THE PREPARATORY RUSSIAN
LANGUAGE PROGRAM;
 Russian translation of an educational document, certified by translator of Consulate of the Russian Federation
in home country or translator of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Khabarovsk (see the address below);
 copy of the international passport picture page – PASSOPRT MUST BE VALID AT LEAST UNTIL MAY 23rd
2012;
 copy of the Russian visa - for those who obtained Russian visa before – DON’T NEED CHINESE CITIZENS;
 Russian translation of a passport picture page, certified by translator of Consulate of the Russian Federation
in home country or translator of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Khabarovsk (see the address below) –
DON’T NEED CHINESE CITIZENS AND THOSE WHO HAVE A COPY OF A RUSSIAN VISA;
 copy of the payment document confirming the transfer of the application fee to the PNU bank account (3500
rubles) – YOU CAN GET A PAYMENT DOCUMENT FORM IN OFFICE 241 CENTER OF PNU.


                        The indicated above documents should be submitted to the International
                           Educational Programs Department of PNU (see the address below)
                     for training under the Bachelor, Specialist and Master Degree Programs
                                       with awarding diploma ─ till July 15th;
                 for training under the Preparatory Russian Language Program ─ till July 30th;
                              for training under the Summer Program─ till May 30th.



   The admission committee of PNU International Studies Department examines indicated above documents and
informs a foreign student of decision of admission or denial in 2 weeks.
   In case of acceptance, PNU admission committee informs a foreign student of list and terms of entrance tests;
sends the draft of the contract, as well as the official invitation letter for student visa (the University provides visa
support for foreign students, see the information in “Visa Requirements and Registration” section) .



     Foreign students must arrive in Khabarovsk city since August 25th, 2010 till September 1st, 2010.

                           The academic year in PNU begins on September 8th, 2010.
                                 A foreign student must submit the following documents
                                 UPON HIS/HER ARRIVAL TO THE UNIVERSITY:

1. original educational document with indicated degree (if it is awarded) and the official transcript to educational document
(if such document is issued in home country) with a list of studied subjects, total amount of class hours, credits, number of study
weeks, received final grades, explanation for grade system, list of practical trainings, course papers and final qualification theses:
- for intrants to the first year of study under the Bachelor, Specialist Degree Programs – the credential of full secondary
education;
- for intrants to the second and the following years of study under the Bachelor, Specialist Degree Programs - the credential of
full secondary education, as well as academic transcript on unfinished higher education or diploma on the finished two-,
three-, four-year education;
- for intrants to the Master’s degree program – Bachelor’s or Specialist’s diploma;
- for intrants to the Ph.D. degree program – Master’s or Specialist’s diploma;
2. Russian translation of an educational document and an official transcript to educational document, certified by
translator of Consulate of the Russian Federation in home country or translator of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in
Khabarovsk (see the address below);
3. two copies of the educational document and an official transcript to educational document, notarized and legalized in
country of issue – THOSE WHO APPLY FOR THE PREPARATORY RUSSIAN LANGUAGE PROGRAM DON’T
NEED TO PROVIDE A LEGALIZATION MARK;
4. certificate of successful completion of the pre-University training course or the preparatory Department – DON’T
NEED THOSE WHO APPLY FOR THE PREPARATORY RUSSIAN LANGUAGE PROGRAM;
5. certificate on state testing in the Russian Language from the Testing Center – DON’T NEED THOSE WHO APPLY FOR
THE PREPARATORY RUSSIAN LANGUAGE PROGRAM;
6. copy of the payment document confirming the transfer of the tuition fee for 2010/2011 academic year – A FOREIGN
STUDENT IS REQUIRED TO PAY TUITION FEE THROUGH THE BANK IN RUSSIAN RUBLES ONLY;
7. copy of the international passport picture page;
8. copy of the Russian entrance visa;
9. medical certificate, certifying absence of medical contraindications for studying (including the results of blood test for Anti-
HIV (AIDS) and Syphilis (VDRL); results of Chest X-Ray test), with Russian translation, certified by translator of Consulate
of the Russian Federation in home country or translator of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Khabarovsk (see the
address below) – THE MEDICAL CERTIFICATE MUST BE ISSUED AT LEAST 2 MONTH PRIOR TO SUBMISSION OF
THE DOCUMENTS;
10. copy of health and life insurance, valid in Khabarovsk region – INSURANCE MUST BE VALID TILL THE END OF
JUNE, 2011;
11. 6 color photos sized 3x4 cm.

        Foreign citizens who apply for Degree Programs with awarding diploma must legalize the educational documents (see p.
1) in country of issue. Legalization mark:
        for Chinese citizens ─ mark is provided by the Chancellery of Foreign Affairs of PRC province and stamp is provided
by Consulate of the Russia in Shenyang or by Embassy of Russia in Beijing;
        for Japanese citizens and Republic of Korea citizens ─ apostil provided by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan or of
Korea;
        for citizens of other foreign countries ─ consult at International Educational Programs Department, Pacific National
University.

     ENROLLMENT TO THE UNIVERSITY is carried out on basis of the documents presented by a student (see above),
entrance testing( don't need those who apply for the Preparatory Russian Language Program and for 2 nd, 3rd, 4th years of
study of Bachelor or Specialist Degree Programs), signed contract and paid tuition fee.
