FR_Dax

							Hello
We are a french primary and secondary school group in Dax; a thermal town near the atlantic
ocean in the southwest of France. We work in Comenius projects for more than 10 years and we
have just finished the last one this year (May 2010) . We work with 4 partners
(Germany/Eberbach, Spain/Alicante, United Kingdom/Manchester and Finland/Helsinki ) and we
decided together during last meeting in May to create a new comenius project with one or two
new partners. This project must take place during the sc hool years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013. So
we have to organize a preparatory meeting before the end of 2010 to send our candidature before
end of January 2011.
We search a new school which could be interested to join our actual team with pupils between
14/15 years old maximum (because it will be normaly the students age for the next project).
This school can be located in : Croatia Republic, Turkey, Slovenia, Czech Republic or Cyprus bur
other countries are possible too.
We are a teacher's team which work together very well since several years with a friendly
atmosphere and we will integrate with the same spirit the new partner.
The common language of our projects is always english and for the pupils it is the language of the
exchanges .
If you want to know more about next project (title : "Europe Gots Talents") and different partners
and if you are interested; don't hesitate to contact me as quickly as possible because we would like
to find the new partner before summer holidays. I'm Gilles, french teacher in charge of the
comenius project and in charge in this case to find the new partner for the group.

More about the projects which can organize together.
To give you an idea about the spirit of our different projects , for example the last one was to
create podcasts radio on different topics (School life, environment, social integration ,vocationnal
opportunities; ) . The students use podcasts technology, acquire technical journalistic
(interviews...) and social skills to realise the podcasts (six podcasts in each country , two during
each students meeting together and four during the two school years of the project . We want
absolutly and we think that is one of the most important thing in an European project , that the
students allways communicate together and with all the partners, to know each other of course but
also to do the activities of the project. So we used regularly a exchange platform ("moodle"; very
easy for them) , e mails , videoconferences if its possible and all means to communicate.
During the students meeting (one by year) , meet each other is always wonderful and the life in
host families is a good thing to know each culture.

About the next project , we are working on the details to include in the application form for the
preparatory meeting. But we can give you the general idea of the project. The title would be
"Europe's Got Talents". And of course we are waiting from all ideas .
Participants will propose different categories or themes (i.e. explore national "talent"). Pupils will
be involved in choosing themes and the way they present these themes together. During the project
they will exchange information using Moodle, e- mail, other links on the Internet...
We wants through this project to give the possibility to the students to show what passions or
talents they have and to create something together with their friends in international teams (with
the different countries) around the same themes and talents.
