Looking for part time jobs for retired teachers can be quite difficult. For one
thing, the issue of age has taken its toll and they can no longer be accepted
to other companies and educational institutions. Second would be the
physical issue that might prove our old teachers incapable of doing some
tasks. It is of our knowledge that some retired educators indeed experience
some body pains and even mental constraints.

In spite if some companies and institutions not accepting retired individuals - even teachers, you need
not worry. As long as you are still capable of working there is still hope for you to land a job - even a part
time one. To date, there are countless available positions for anyone that is duly open regardless of age.
In line with that, here is a list of some optional part time jobs for retired teachers.

Option # 1: Tutor jobs. This is the easiest and the most suitable part time job especially for retired
teachers. This is also the suggested one because you can decide the length of your tutorial sessions.
Given that older teachers tend to become frustrated by long hours of teaching, this kind of mentoring
can be a place where you can still teach yet have a grasp of the time you can give. In addition, you can
even teach only one subject at a time or the one you like best. You would only need to concentrate on
one student, thus giving you more management and understanding of the individual and track the
improvements. Some retired teachers I know love this option. Salary wise it is very well compensated.

Option # 2: Consultant jobs. Consultant jobs are actually a blooming work today. With the vast
experience and wisdom of retired teachers, they are ideal candidates for this particular type of job. You
can even do this as a contractual relationship or under an umbrella company. You can choose to look for
institutions that need professional advices on a new or growing business. As a consultant, you can then
offer a share of proven methodologies on how to revitalize a company especially the ones venturing in
education. You can then share your own personal interests and feedback. Salary wise on the other hand,
this is offers bigger compensations. Other attractive offers are the possibility of traveling.

Option # 3: Entrepreneurship. As a retired teacher, a type of work you can do that can surely last a
lifetime is to build your own business. This may seem a late one, but nevertheless, with all the time on
your hands, you can build and manage from the beginning. A retired worker has pension money thus
you can use this as your initial capital or investment to create your own enterprise. You can start one by
creating your hobby into something productive or perhaps an area of your competence. Over time, I'm
sure you will be able to put your full attention to your growing business. In addition, your revenue is
based on how it is flourishing. But once successful, you can be assured of a much bigger compensation.

These three suggested options are just some of the things that retired teachers may apply and even
have in spite of their age. They may stop working as a teacher in school, but there is still room for them
to generate a modest income despite being retired. Thus, before setting foot out of teaching, try
