Students attending Forsyth Tech can
now rent their textbooks. They will
need to get the ISBN# of the textbooks
they need from the FTCC website or
the bookstore and then go to
www.chegg.com for more info.
                     SAT
• SENIORS should retake SAT if you only took it
  once junior year; plan to take it twice senior
  year if you did not take it junior year. Register
  online at: www.collegeboard.com
• Regular registration for the Jan. 22 SAT is open
  through Dec. 23. (fee waivers available)
• Practice test booklets available in Guidance
  Office Resource Room.
                     ACT
• Juniors & seniors be aware that ACT scores
  may be accepted in place of SAT scores by all
  colleges & scholarship programs. Try ACT if
  you prefer a more varied format of items..
• Register at: www.actstudent.org.
• Practice books available in the Guidance Office
  Resource Room
• Regular registration for the Feb. 12 test date is
  open until Jan. 7 (fee waivers available)
             For Juniors:
       Leadership Conference for
         High School Women
•       Meredith College in Raleigh is hosting this
    conference, Sat. Feb. 5, 2011, from 9:30 a.m.
    to 4:00 p.m. with free lunch included. There is
    no cost, except for providing your own
    transportation. You must pre-register at:
    www.meredith.edu/admissions/lc. See Ms.
    Wilburn in Guidance if you have any questions

Our goal…to educate students about the
 risks of drinking and driving, drug use,
     impaired driving, violence in our
schools/communities, teen depression,
                and suicide.
              Talk Politics
• Do you like to debate politics or discuss
  current events? If so, come on over to the
  media center this THURSDAY afternoon at
  3:30. We will be discussing political party
  platforms. Why do you consider yourself a
  republican, democrat, or
  independent? What are social and
  political ideals you do not agree
  with? Come over to the media center this
  Thursday at 3:30 and tell us about your
  political beliefs!
          Quiz Bowl Team
Anyone interested in participating on the
 West Stokes Quiz Bowl Team should go by
 Ms. White’s room (116) to sign up.
     West Stokes Book Club
The book club meets on Thursdays, at
 3:30 in room 335 (Ms. Trexler)

Attention all Interact Club members: Please
  remember to stop by Mrs. Miller's room by
  Friday and donate towards the family we're
  sponsoring for Christmas. Also, be sure to
  mark your calendars for caroling at Priddy
  Manor this Monday night. We need lots of
  young, smiling faces to help brighten the day
  of the residents there. See Mrs./ Miller for
  details. And last but not least, be sure to stay
  this afternoon to help out with Food Drive
  pick-up.
           HOSA
  There will be a HOSA meeting
    Thursdays, at 7:50 am in
            room 254.

         to help others.

     18 Year Old Male Students
• When you turn 18, you are required to
  register with the selective service.
• You may pick up a registration form from the
  post office or register at www.sss.gov

Failure to register can negatively impact your
 financial aid, job training and government
 employment.
