When it comes to your kids and thei
r physical activities, in most case
s we know how important it is to ke
ep children hydrated, and what it t
akes to prevent them from becoming
dehydrated.

The problem that many family member
s have is finding the right source
to allow their child to have access
to the necessary amount of water t
o be consumed throughout their day,
and a kids hydration pack just mig
ht be the answer and solution you’r
e looking for in a hydration system!

If we don’t already know the facts,
your kids (including all adults) s
hould be drinking at least 8 glasse
s of water per day, and the reason
for this is that your children coul
d easily lose up to 2 or more quart
s of water daily, and that’s under
normal activity. Once they get invo
lved in more extreme sports it coul
d much higher.

Staying Hydrated Does Not Mean D
rinking 8 Glasses Of Water In One G
ulp!

Now when we say drink at least 8 gl
asses, we mean continuous hydration
, which your child should be drinki
ng 8-10 ounces of water at least ev
ery 15 minutes during their workout
, and another 10-12 ounces right af
ter their activity is completed. Wh
ile the body needs this constant re
plenishment, I’m sure you’re asking
yourself, how do we make sure they
follow these necessary guidelines?

It’s hard to control what your chil
dren are doing when they’re not in
your presence, and if you remember
your childhood like I do, when we w
ere out biking, rollerblading, snow
boarding, or any activity that take
s our complete attention away for l
ong periods of time, I myself remem
ber many times only drinking water
when I was extremely thirsty!

Of course you find out now as an ad
ult that you should have water in y
our system every 15-20 minutes on a
verage, and always drink water prio
r to feeling thirsty; but what do w
e know as kids? All we cared about
at the time was having fun, and hop
ing the activity never ended.

When you’re having so much fun, and
your child happens to run out of w
ater while mountain biking in the b
ackcountry, as a kid, the last thin
g they’re going to worry about is f
inding a source of water until they
’re extremely thirsty, and feel the
need to find H2O. At that point, y
our kids are going into a dehydrati
on stage. I remember carrying my wa
ter in a water bottle that ended up
always not being enough, and when
I finally get to drink out of the b
ottle it was warm, so I would drink
every drop in 15 seconds flat leav
ing no water for later.

Hydration Packs Are A Convenient
Solution For Hydrating Your Kids</
b>

Kids hydration these days couldn’t
be any simpler with a convenient ba
ckpack with a hydration system atta
ched. Children are accustomed with
some sort of pack for school, and u
sing them for transporting their ge
ar to many of their activities. Wit
h common daypacks offering an inter
nal water system that includes an i
nsulated reservoir with easy access
through a conveniently attached tu
be, they can easily keep a necessar
y amount of water in their bodies t
hroughout the day, and look cool at
the same time.

Having the right kids features incl
uding the right look, weight, and a
lso proper hydration capacity is im
portant for having overall successf
ul kids packs! It’s not only about
the hydration features, but these p
acks must be functional for your ch
ild’s sport, and look really cool s
o they can maintain their image. An
y of these components are missing,
and the backpacks purchased could e
asily end up in the back of your ki
d’s locker.

Hydration backpacks and many suppli
ers of these hydration system packs
understand the balance of your chi
ldren’s needs, and they have design
ed the hydration pack to be easily
tailored to your kids needs. They a
re ergonomically designed with prop
er sternum straps, and proper venti
lation for complete comfort, and th
ey have many additional accessory i
tems to accommodate their equipment
and gear.
