Author, Margaret LeNois demonstrate
s excellent story-telling capabilit
ies in her 272-page fiction novel,
Cremator’s Revenge.

The title was perfect choice for th
e book. Here we have a very disturb
ed serial killer working as a crema
tor at the very graveyard where his
 beloved grandmother lay. Obsessed
with her death, a twisted kind of r
eligion, a benevolent hate for dest
itute people and being a loner, too
k a toll on him. It seemed, for a w
hile at least, that refuge could be
found in tending his beautiful gar
dens out in the Florida sunshine.

The author is brutally realistic an
d shows a true understanding of peo
ple in less privileged situations a
nd the life circumstances that brou
ght them there. We are shown how st
reet people, or "streeters", surviv
e the elements, avoid dangers and l
ocate food. The huge benefits that
the meals, clothes, showers and com
fort that volunteers provide is a g
ift that cannot be measured for tho
se who have no access to these thin
gs. The "streeters" creation of tig
ht and protective substitute famili
es, aid against the prejudice withi
n society. And those that aim for g
reener pastures face huge challenges.

The heart-thumping pace is kept ste
ady with the author’s skilled use o
f fear, righteous wrath and revenge
 - emotions that today’s society ca
n relate to and on some level, even
cheer. A tense romance triangle be
tween a feisty reporter, a frustrat
ed cop and a destitute military vet
eran really spices things up. There
were sections of such chilling hor
ror that I shivered, but couldn’t b
reak away from reading just one mor
e page.

I absolutely loved reading this psy
chological thriller and highly reco
mmend it to readers who like a book
that is hard to set down.
