Description
Badminton is a ball across the net, using long-handled racket hit flat mesh side bar by a circle of feathers, cork hemisphere-shaped indoor sports. Based on the number of participants can be divided into singles and doubles. Admission $150 for ONE event; $200 for more than one event
fees: (All admission fees include a sandwich lunch with drinks.)
Eligible player: HKICPA members only. Priority is given to Badminton Interest Group members.
Events: Events include Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles
and Mixed Doubles
Single knock-out format at 21 points
An event will only proceed if there are at least 4 contestants or 4 teams in the case of
doubles
The maximum number for each event is 16 contestants or 16 teams. However, this
may change subject to the final decision of the Organising Committee based on the
situation of the Championship.
Each contestant can join up to three events
Awards: Champion, 1st, 2nd and 3rd runner up for each event
Transportation Registration
The school is accessible by the following public transportation: To register, please complete the
City Bus No. 76 -- Morton Terrace to Tin Wan enrolment form and return it with
City Bus No. 41A -- North Point to Wah Fu full payment on or before 21 June
Mini bus no. 5 -- Causeway Bay to Aberdeen 2010.
Mini bus no. 6 -- Central (City Hall) to Ocean Park

1. Enrolment for the championship is accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and priority will be offered to Badminton Interest Group
members in case of over subscription.
2. Full payment must be made before your enrolment will be processed. No telephone reservation will be accepted.
3. The closing date for enrolment is 21 June 2010. However, the Institute has the discretion to accept late applications as it sees fit.
4. Successful enrolment will be informed by email or by telephone. If you do not hear from us two working days before the commencement of the
championship, please contact Ms. Michelle Tse at 2287 7034 / Ms. Elaine Wai at 2287 7230. Unsuccessful enrolment will be informed by mail with full
refund. Rules of the competition will be advised in due course upon your enrolment.
5. Unless the championship is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances or bad weather, no refund for withdrawal will be entertained after your
enrolment has been processed.
6. Bad weather arrangement: When typhoon signal no. 8 or above / Black rainstorm warning is hoisted 2 hours prior to the commencement of
the championship, the championship will be cancelled. Your admission fee will be refunded in full in the event of cancellation due to bad
weather.
7. The Institute reserves the right to change the venue and date of the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.
