Software testing is a dynamic Verification and validation technique.
The objective of testing is to check that the system is performing with the
requirement specification.
The presence of defects in the system is revealed by the anomalies found in
program outputs.
The objectives many errors as possible of testing may be to detect as many errors
as possible and to ensure proper functionality before the system is delivered to the
customer.

There are two types of testing
1) Defect testing-white box and black box testing
2) Statistical Testing

Black-Box / White-Box Testing

• Black-box tests are driven by the program’s
  specification
• White-box tests are driven by the program’s
  implementation

        Black Box Testing

• Checks that the product conforms to
  specifications
• Cannot determine how much code has
  been tested

         White Box Testing

• Allows tester to be sure every statement
  has been tested.
• Difficult to discover missing functionality.
