                    section “Options”

Call recordings
                  Phone call recording
Please note that not all devices are able to record both ends of a
phone conversation. That is why we advise to test Resco Audio
Recorder on your device to see if your device is capable of
recording both ends of the conversation before making a
purchase if this feature is vital for you.

Recording a phone call is another option that the Audio Recorder
offers. If you would like to review any phone calls made from your
device, phone call recording allows you to do so with an option to
adjust the storage space consumption and quality of each recording.
To record your phone calls either press the hardware key for
“Action” or tap on <Action> in the bottom right-hand corner, tap on
<Options>, then tap on <General>, on the bottom of the screen
choose the <Phone> settings. If you would like to record your calls
check the box for “Automatically record phone calls”. You can also
setup which folder you would like the recorder phone conversations
to be stored. Check the “Put phone recordings in subfolder” box to
do this. The field underneath allows you to label your recording by
entering the desired specifications in the field. By checking the box
“Record in background” you can record your phone call without
Audio Recorder popping up as the main screen.

            Filters
To block out any unwanted noise elements from your recording you
can set the noise and gain filters, which will restrict the input of
unwanted noises based on the the set level of the filter.
Noise filter — filters out unwanted noises coming from the
background. The levels range from 1 being a soft filter to 5 being the
              full filter.
Gain control — adaptive algorithm increasing and equaling overall
Filters sound volume level.
Real VAS — a specially designed system that is sensitive to
frequencies typical for the human voice levels and filters out other
              sounds. Ideal when recording speech.

            Player
Resco Audio Recorder is not just a recorder. It also allows you to
listen to your recordings or any other other audio tracks with the
              built in player.

can change the file format of your recording in order to save storage
space or to get the best quality of the recording even when you
don’t have a powerful device. After the recording is made you can
change the format of the file so that the recording quality and
storage space it takes up suits you the best.

There are various quality options to choose from so that you can
either save storage space or make your recording the highest
                  quality.

Time (SPX), Normal (SPX) or High Quality (WAV). When recording
music you have two options: Long Time (MP3) or High Quality
                  (WAV).
Here is an explanation of the difference between encoders and their
                  quality and storage consumption specifications.
MP3 — The most popular audio format ever. Widely supported by
all platforms. Ideal trade off between quality and hardware
                  requirements.
Ogg Vorbis — Alternative to MP3 with higher quality, but requires
                  faster PDA.
Speex — Outstanding speech compression ratio, but also needs fast

                  device.
WAV — Lossless quality, low hardware requirements, but huge
                  memory consumption.
RAF — Minimal hardware requirements, minimal energy
                  consumption, compression ratio 4:1.
