Move-in: Monday, May 24 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm and/or Tuesday, May 25 7:00 am – 11:30 am
Show hours are 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
To accommodate designers arriving after 5 pm, booths may not be dissembled until 6:00 pm.
Only Industry Partners who are exhibiting may walk the Trade Show floor. IP who are NOT
exhibiting during the show are not permitted entry – no exceptions. We will be happy to escort new or
prospective members for a brief tour and introduction to our show with advance notice – call the
chapter office for details at 732-767-5981.
If for whatever reason you can not attend at the last moment, please notify Sean Benetin at
908-362-9920 no later than 8 am on show day.
4. Booth Definition The price for booth includes booth space that is 10’ wide and 10’ deep (approximately) with
8’ high drape background and 3’ high drape sidewalls. The floor is carpeted. Exhibitors are responsible for
their own security. A 9” x 44” booth sign will be provided. List below the way you wish your company’s
name to appear with capitalization, abbreviations and punctuation. (Please type or print clearly)
5. Electrical: A 250 watt electrical outlet is supplied by Garden State Exhibit Center (GSEC). Additional
requirements must be contracted between you and GSEC at a cost of $55 per 500-watt outlet.
6. Lighting: The overhead lighting grid at the GSEC is the main source of lighting for all booths. GSEC lighting
grid is convention lighting and should be adequate lighting for most exhibits, according to GSEC. Additional
spot lighting may be ordered in advance from Lighting & Decorating Company. See address below (#3).

Attendance at Booth Camp – an evening developed just for our Trade Show exhibitors – to give you a
glimpse of who your trade show attendees are, what they will want from you, and how to have a
tremendously successful show!
Additional Fee: If additional representatives plan to attend the luncheon, there will be a fee of $45.00 for

8. Payment Schedule:
Payment for booth(s) is due in full on or before April 16, 2010. NO REFUNDS.
Payment for ads: See Ad Guidelines and Price Sheet for details on early bird deadline and final deadline.
9. Booth Assignment: Booths will be assigned as completed contracts with payment in full are received. No
firm will be allowed to assign their contracted space to another firm. NJ Chapter ASID will be the only source
of space assignment.

RULES & REGULATIONS
1. FIRE REGULATIONS: All exhibits must meet the requirements of the Somerset Township Fire Department
and The Garden State Exhibit Center including the requirements that all decorations, draperies, and/or fabrics
meet code compliance.
2. INSTALLATION/MAINTENANCE & LABOR: Exhibits must be installed commencing during move-in times
stated in this contract and must be completely ready for inspections by NJ Chapter ASID/IP by 12:30 on the
show date. Exhibits may not be dismantled before the official closing of the Trade Show at 6:00 PM.
3. OFFICIAL SHOW CONTRACTOR/DECORATOR: The official contractor/decorator (“pipe & drape”) will send
you information when available as your contract and money is received. Lighting & Decorating Company,

4. USE LIMITATIONS: Only one exhibitor may utilize a booth or booths; sharing of space or transfer of right to
use space in whole or in part is not permitted without NJ Chapter ASID written authorization. Only one firm’s
name will appear in the contract, the official NJ Chapter ASID program and the official booth sign.
5. CHANGES: NJ Chapter, ASID reserves the right to change Trade Show dates or site or to cancel if the Trade
Show cannot be conducted for any reason beyond NJ Chapter ASID's reasonable control; exercise of any
such right will be in written notice to exhibitors within fourteen (14) days of date of Trade Show. NJ Chapter
ASID reserves the right to make final assignment or to change the space assignment after exhibitor’s
application is accepted should it be necessary in the best interest of the show as determined solely by NJ
6. INSURANCE: Exhibitor shall effect insurance coverage of all exhibit merchandise at site and in transit
inclusive of business interruption insurance, if applicable, and NJ Chapter ASID shall not be responsible for
any loss or damage thereto, however incurred. The exhibitor must carry its own fire insurance and public
liability insurance of not less than one million dollars. A current copy of certificate of insurance adding
the NJ Chapter of ASID as an additional insured must be provided prior to exhibiting in the Trade
7. HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE: Neither NJ Chapter of ASID, nor GSEC, nor LDC shall be liable to exhibitor,
its agents, employees, contractors, patrons, guests, licenses or to any other person whosoever, for any injury
or damage to person or property caused by or arising out of any act, omission or neglect of Exhibitor, its
agents, contractors, employees, patrons, guests, licenses or invitees, or any person entering the building
known as The Garden State Exhibit Center under expressed or implied invitation by Exhibitor or any other
damages arising out of use of either the licensed booth space or the building in which the booth space is
located. The Exhibitor assumes the entire responsibility and liability for losses, damages and claims deriving
out of injury or damage to Exhibitor’s displays, equipment and other property brought upon the premise of The
Garden State Exhibit Center. The Exhibitor shall indemnify and hold harmless the NJ Chapter of ASID, its
officers, directors, members and employees along with GSEC, LDC and their agents, servants, and
employees from and against any and all claims, liabilities, obligations, including reasonable attorney’s fee and
related costs arising out of or relating in any manner to the Exhibitor’s use of either the licensed booth space
or the building in which the booth space is located. The Exhibitor acknowledges that The Garden State Exhibit
Center does not maintain insurance covering Exhibitor’s property and that it is the sole responsibility of the
Exhibitor to obtain business interruption and property insurance covering such losses by the exhibitor.
Exhibitor will be liable for any damage caused to floor (including carpeting), wall or columns, or to the
standard booth equipment, or to other Exhibitors’ property. No signs or other articles are to be fastened to
walls or fixtures or electrical equipment. Use of thumb tacks, screws, bolts or any tool or material that may
mark the floor or wall is prohibited.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the NJ Chapter of ASID’s total aggregate liability to Exhibitor is limited
to the amount of the Exhibitor’s fees paid to the NJ Chapter of ASID under this Agreement for any and all
injuries, damages, claims, losses, expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of this Agreement from any
cause(s) including negligence and/or breach of contract. Under no circumstances will the NJ Chapter of ASID
be responsible for any consequential damages of any kind.
8. SHOW EXECUTION: The performance of the agreement by either party is subject to all acts of God, war,
government regulations, disaster, fire, strikes, civil disorder, terrorist actions, curtailment of transportation
facilities, or the like, preventing or unreasonably delaying at least fifteen (15%) percent of the guests of the
New Jersey Chapter ASID from appearing or attending, or other similar causes beyond the control of the
parties making it inadvisable or illegal to hold the meeting or provide the facilitiy.
9. CHARACTER OF EXHIBITS: Each exhibit shall be in good taste and in keeping with the general nature and
elegance of the Trade Show. NJ Chapter ASID shall be entitled to limit or require change in any exhibit that
interferes with other exhibitors or general movement, is neither excessively noisy nor carnival-like in
presentation or does not conform to the regulations herein or to any agency having jurisdiction at the
convention site (i.e. fire department). All exhibitor activities shall be conducted solely within licensed space
and use of all aisle space and other public areas of the Exposition are reserved to NJ Chapter ASID.
Canvassing solicitations of business or the use of advertising materials or signs by other firms other than
those who have contracted for space is prohibited. Selling any item or services from the Exposition is
prohibited. Distribution by the Exhibitor of Circulars, Catalogues or other advertising materials for firms who
are not Exhibitors is prohibited.
10. LIGHTING: Normal convention center lighting is provided via the overhead lighting grid at the GSEC.
HOWEVER, WE RECOMMEND EXHIBITORS CONSIDER ADDITIONAL ILLUMINATION FOR THEIR
BOOTH DISPLAY. Note electrical is allocated at 250 watts per booth; additional electrical service must be
contracted through GSEC and additional lighting (such as a spotlight) must be contracted between
you and Lighting and Decorating Company, Inc. See #3 above.
11. ARBITRATION: Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract or the breach thereof, shall
be settled by arbitration by using the services of the American Arbitration Association at a mutually agreeable
location in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of American Arbitration Association and
judgment upon the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court in the State of New
Jersey having jurisdiction thereof.
12. AMENDMENTS AND ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS: Any issue not specifically covered by the foregoing
regulation shall be determined solely by the NJ Chapter ASID. NJ Chapter ASID shall add and/or amend the
foregoing rules provided such changes are reasonable in nature and consistent with the purpose of the
foregoing. Each Exhibitor will be responsible for forwarding this information to the parties whom will set up
and/or man the space.
13. CRAFTS: Craft exhibitors will be able to sell their products.
