									                        Associate Vice President for Marketing
Bradley University invites applications for the position of Associate Vice President for
Marketing. This position reports to the President of the University.

The Associate Vice President for Marketing will provide oversight for all University
marketing activities including:  implementation of the new Bradley brand plan;
coordination between intercollegiate Athletics, Enrollment Management, University
Communications and other departments; oversight of University Web presence.

In addition, this position will oversee market research and competitive analysis to define
marketplace needs that drive brand positioning, product development and marketing
strategies to ascertain latest business trends, demographics, new branding and marketing
concepts to enhance strategic business goals for marketing and communications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

   •   Manage marketing, promotion, Web and advertising University-wide.
   •   Provide leadership, strategic direction and management of integrated marketing
       branding and communications for the University.
   •   Coordinate the effort to identify, develop and execute the University’s
       communications and customer marketing strategies for new student acquisition,
       retention and recovery.
   •   Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that supports the brand
       identity of Bradley University’s mission, vision and strategic priorities across all
   •   Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction of campus marketing activities.
   •   Coordinate strategic implementation of the University’s image and recruiting efforts
       while ensuring development of and compliance with Bradley University’s brand and
   •   Maintain integrity of University brand and champion its growth and significance
       among key internal and external constituencies.
   •   Oversee research efforts to support marketing vision and outcomes, develop, plan,
       implement and evaluate programs, and short-and long-range goals.
   •   Manage other initiatives as assigned.

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or closely related discipline and a minimum of ten years
professional experience in marketing (including management experience) are required.

A Master’s degree in Marketing or closely related discipline; experience in an academic
environment; experience in brand management and Internet and multimedia marketing
experience are preferred.
Other requirements include experience in building and implementing creative marketing
programs and brand development; strong organizational, analytical and planning skills;
strong understanding of market research principles and applications; knowledge of basic
publication design principles including ability to write and edit advertising; exceptional
interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead, train, mentor and
motivate others; familiarity with Microsoft applications, multi-media tools and other
applications related to marketing and communications; solid leadership and project
management skills with ability to manage, prioritize, multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced,
high-growth environment; ability to work independently and collaboratively; commitment to
working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams and ability to work effectively
with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Some local, regional and national travel is required. There is also some commitment
before 8:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. and weekends both off and on campus. Salary is
commensurate with skills and experience.
