1. PURPOSE OF PLAN AND SUMMARY
All the projects aim, whether directly or indirectly, at working as a think tank and a communication tool between the different communities in Lebanon. A magazine and a website will help cover a broader audience locally and internationally. Using Architecture and urban planning as approaches to social issues, this platform intends not only to widen the network but also to open the eyes of the public to issues they thought were out of their influence. “Noise” or “dajjé” in Arabic is the name we are proposing, because this is what we will be making (noise over some subjects). “Noise” will be issued quarterly a year giving more time to the content and material. ‘In common use the word noise means unwanted sound or noise pollution.’(Wikipedia) People love to honk...to cry…to talk out loud…to scream...to argue...to make a big fuss....people love to make NOISE... So in common use the word noise means wanted sound, and people love wanted pollution. This magazine is about and for these people.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Public space, being the first victim of private investors and initiatives is also a start point for investigation in the magazine and web. The magazine and website will also use Studio Beirut Think tanks to display opinions and to highlight specific issues, in the public space or as thoughts in general. (kind of spokesman for the Beirut Studio, soft and hard copy). It goes without saying that these publications will be worked in cooperation with
The Nederland’s team and anyone who would like or is qualified to participate in the proposed themes or subjects. The magazine and website will also include the Beirut Studio program, the current location of the Bus, feedbacks from the Think Tank, and a specific blog used also for the same purposes.

THE MARKET
Geographical area covered The website is a way to communicate with a broader audience, and an international one. The magazine will be covering all regions in Lebanon, and at a later stage the Middle East.
Pricing • The prices of the magazine should be affordable for a large number of people (especially students). Distribution The distribution of the magazine should be subcontracted.

The website needs an employee to manage it and introduce updates The magazine needs 3 employees and the printing will be outsourced, and will seek independent writers.

The Magazine and Website will operate in independent offices in Beirut Studio.

The Magazine and Website will be needing computers (Mac and Pc), color printer, scanner, digital camera and video, office furniture and library.

LEGAL
The Magazine needs to be registered as a cultural one in the Ministry of Media. The website needs no legal steps.

The magazine and website will cover, besides Lebanon, the Middle East with arab and foreigners contributing in a wider range of subject related to this area of the world.
