Grow Your County’s Voting Members: Compile a list of farmers in your county who are not
Farm Bureau members. Share this list with your local Allied/Nationwide sales manager, who will
distribute these leads to the Farm Certified agents in your county. The agents will contact these
folks, provide a Nationwide Ag insurance quote, and encourage them to join the Farm Bureau!

Estate Planning: Succession and estate planning are serious concerns for California farmers
and ranchers. Nationwide will pilot at least one estate planning/succession workshop with a
county Farm Bureau in 2010, and will conduct several more in the coming year.

by, and accountable to, its policyholders. Each year Nationwide conducts a national
policyholder conference and this year’s event is being held in Des Moines, Iowa, August 30-31.
