 SENSOR TECHNOLOGY
   Glass pH electrode (Hughes, 1922).
   Oxygen sensing electrode (Clark, 1956_41).
    Glucose sensor electrode(Clark, 1962).

 The biochip technology was originally developed in
  1983 for monitoring fisheries.

 The biochip (or Lab-on-a-Chip) consists of tiny
  microfluidic channels, pumps and valves.
 BIO + CHIP = BIOCHIP
    Bio: stands for any biological entity
    Chip: a computer chip

 Biochip is a collection of miniaturized test sites
  (microarrays) arranged on a solid substrate.

 It is small, lightweight, requiring less sample
 fluids and reagents and being more sensitive and
 efficient than larger devices currently in use.
The Biochip technology System Consists Of Two
Components:

   THE TRANSPONDER
     • Computer Microchip
     • Antenna Coil
     • Tuning Capacitor
     • Glass Capsule


    THE READER
 The reader generates a low-power, electromagnetic
  energy,via low-frequency radio signals, which
  "activates" the implanted biochip.

 This "activation" enables the biochip to send the ID code
  back to the reader via radio signals.

 The reader amplifies the received code, converts it to
  digital format and displays it in LCD displays.

 The reader and biochip can communicate through most
  materials, except metal.

 Protein micro arrays      Allergen-specific
  antibodies detection were integrated in micro fluidic
  chips
 It is a agglutination reaction that is frequently used in
  qualitative typing in the diagnostic medicine field by
  realizing a specimen inlet.

 Digital micro fluidic   Adoption for the complex
  procedures in molecular biology.

 Continuous flow :       The biochip of the present
  invention can be cheaply made through conventional
  photolithography, electroplating, injection molding,
  and bonding.
