Kendra J. Kyle Kendra Janette Kyle was born in Midland, Michigan, on June 5, 1974 to Lawrence and Carolyn Kyle. In 1983, her family relocated to her father’s hometown of Blacksburg, Virginia. Ms. Kyle graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1992 and enrolled at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in her hometown of Blacksburg. In May 1996, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Foods, with the Science of Foods option.
In the fall of 1996, Ms. Kyle re-enrolled at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as a graduate student in the Department of Housing, Interior Design and Resource Management. She became an employee of Virginia Cooperative Extension in August 1997 as the 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent for Middlesex County. All requirements for the Masters of Science degree were completed by August 1998.
Ms. Kyle is a member of the Virginia Association of Extension 4-H Agents, National Association of Extension 4-H Agents, Virginia Extension Service Association, Alpha Phi Omega (National Service Co-ed Fraternity), and the Virginia Tech Pylon Association. She was selected and is member of Phi Upsilon Omicron, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Virginia 4-H All Stars.
