The Grande Colonial is now accepting applications for a full-time Catering Manager. Previous
Catering Manager experience in the social market a must! Four Diamond hotel service
experience preferred.

SHIFT OR SCHEDULE NEEDED:
Tuesday through Saturday, flexible schedule based on client needs.

OVERVIEW OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains established customer relations and generates new relationships.
• Handle account details.
• Property tours and site inspections.
• Maintains and builds relationships with San Diego wedding planners.
• Attend industry related meetings and events.
• Meet budgeted sales group and catering goals.
• Prepare monthly sales booking pace, sales calls and forecast reports.
• Responsible for detailing of all Social groups and catering events
• Works with clients to determine specific needs and designs a program to fit the requirements
outlined by the client.
• Inspects food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.
• Works events as required to welcome group contacts upon arrival at function to ensure
satisfaction and introduce Banquet Captain.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
* Prior experience as a sales manager in hospitality preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years in hospitality industry.
* Associated degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school; or four
years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
* Ability to work on own and exercise sound judgment.
* Must be willing to travel and have flexible hours.
* Reports to Director of Sales.
