Description
This group will encourage more people living with depression and anxiety to
attend the group's self-help meetings. The organisation will publicise the
meetings through the circulation of leaflets and creating a website. The grant will
go towards the printing and circulation of leaflets and posters, creating a website
and purchase of a storage cabinet.
This group will purchase a range of art and craft equipment to allow the creation
of art resources boxes for use by local community groups and schools.
Professional artists will champion the creation of the resource boxes and will
hold workshops on effective resource use and project planning. The grant will go
towards professional artist fees and the purchase of art and craft materials for
use by schools and local community groups.

This group will organise a summer musical production of 'Disco Inferno' to
introduce local people to the arts and encourage them to participate in new
activities. The grant will pay for venue hire, performance fees, rehearsal space
hire, marketing, costumes, set/scenery/prop hire and hire of technical
equipment.
This group will buy outdoor play equipment to refurbish and upgrade play park
facilities within a village on the Isle of Lewis. This grant will pay for infant bucket
swings, a wooden fence, wall repairs, surface repairs (painting of hop scotch
and other games) and upgrading the wooden log walk.
This group will establish a training programme for in-patients in the
Rehabilitation Ward of the Forensic Psychiatric Unit at Murray Royal Hospital in
Perth. The programme will focus on bike maintenance. This grant will pay for
equipment, tools, spare parts, and bicycle mechanic costs.

This group will convert two existing music practice rooms in the secondary part
of the school into a music recording studio. The grant will pay for the costs of
works to convert the classrooms, training costs and hardware installation costs.
It will also be used to purchase a laptop and cubase software and publicity
materials.
This group will organise complimentary therapy training for carers and
volunteers to teach them valuable new skills, offering an alternative form of
relief to cancer patients. The grant will fund a variety of complimentary training
course fees (hand massage, acupuncture and Reiki).
This group will send two delegates to a national conference relevant to the
sector, organise a tenants conference and engage in a capacity building event.
This grant will pay for information packs, subsistence costs, facilitator fees,
report production costs, delegate fees, travel expenses.
This group will organise a series of excursions and training exercises to help
bring group members together to socialise and learn new skills. The grant will go
towards the costs of 4 excursions, training courses, volunteer expenses, guest
speaker expenses, 3 creche workers and transport costs.
This group will renovate their centre to provide a more comfortable and energy
efficient centre. The grant is for replacement windows and draft proofing.

The group will regenerate their school grounds to create a resource for the
school and the local community. This grant will pay for professional fees,
materials for paths, seating, plants, greenhouse, materials for the sensory and
wildlife areas, compost, bark, mulch, trees and seeds.
This group will buy a range of equipment and carry out improvements to their
visual arts centre, making it a more versatile and practical resource. This grant
will fund the purchase of folding tables, exterior building signs, public information
boards, spotlighting, display cabinets, plastic floor covering, radiator and
plumbing costs, and doorway costs.
This group will buy 4 'Bradshaw Buggies' (specialised lawn bowls wheelchairs),
making it easier for people in wheelchairs to participate in Lawn Bowls and
Indoor Bowling. This grant will go towards the costs of 4 bradshaw buggies, 4
transport cases, delivery, a small storage container and marketing/promotion
costs.
This group will take 40 of its members to Blackpool for seven days. This grant
will go towards travel costs, accommodation and meals.
This group will purchase, install and maintain a server, allowing the two
geographically separate offices to link together electronically. The grant will be
used to purchase, configure and set up a server and will fund 12 months
maintenance costs.
This school will put on a pantomime for local primary schools and the wider
community, organised and performed by pupils. The grant is for scenery hire
and transport, props, costume and wig hire, sound equipment hire, lighting hire,
stage make-up, curtain track and gauze and a stage intercom.
This group aims to set up a new under 19s football team. The grant will fund
facility hire for seven league games and six cup games.
This group will buy a selection of equipment to build capacity. This grant will go
towards the costs of a boxing ring, gloves, headguards, hooks and jab pads, tear
drop pad, boxing bag, punch bag and dumbell set.
This school will improve the school grounds by building a play area and a wildlife
pond with a seating area which will be available to the pupils and the wider
community outwith school hours. The school plan to start an after school
gardening club which will be run by staff, parents and older members of the
community to encourage eco awareness, healthy living and exercise. This grant
will pay for materials, building costs and the purchase of play equipment.

This group will organise a two day event that aims to bring the whole village
together through various recreational activities. This grant will go towards the
costs of venue hire, judges professional fees, 100 large cases, 100 small vases,
printing, table rental, table coverings, plates, napkins, advertising and posters.

The school will commission a mural for their playground and purchase new
outdoor play equipment. This grant will go towards the costs of a climbing wall,
trim trail, wall mounted basketball nets, playground markings, pogo sticks,
trampets, spacehoppers and artists fees.
This group will renovate the windows in their community building. This grant will
pay for window renovation, painting and draught-proofing.
This group will organise a programme of activities in Motherwell designed to
manage and relieve stress. This grant will go towards therapist costs, materials,
yoga tutor costs, two day trips (coach hire, lunches and associated admin costs),
laptop, software and printer cartridges.
This group will buy outdoor climbing and play equipment in order that children
can take part in active play. The money will pay for the installation of an inclined
balance beam, rock & roll crossing, trapeze swing, step logs and matting,
balance beam, log forest, log walk, log traverse, polaris climbing wall, wobbly
plank, rickety bridge, scramble net, log climber, timber ball wall, metre signs, and
leap frogs.
This group will improve their resources for young children by purchasing a range
of educational toys to enhance their development. This grant will pay for
educational jigsaws, an educational rug, sessional workers fees, remote control
cars and multi cultural dolls.
This group will build a greenhouse to help residents take up gardening as a
hobby. This grant will pay for a greenhouse, aluminium staging, automatic vent
openers, potting tidy, paving slabs, weed control cloth and labour.
This school will hire a minibus to replace the school's existing minibus, which will
enable them to continue delivering activities in the community for their pupils
with additional support needs to participate in. The grant is for minibus hire and
drivers fees.
This group will add archery to the range of activities covered by their adventure
training programme. The grant will be used to purchase left and right hand bows,
fittings, strings and stringers, arrows, fletches and fletching jig, targets and
fittings and safety equipment.
This group will set up their radio station which will allow the group to recruit and
train local people to broadcast to communities in Ayr. The service will be on a
restricted licence for 28 days. This grant will go towards associated costs for the
radio license, Ariel fitting and an Apple Mac computer.
This group will target six secondary schools and two badminton clubs within
South Lanarkshire and deliver 35 badminton sessions in each of these places to
pupils to learn the sport. This grant willl pay for coaching costs (35 sessions per
club/school) and shuttlecocks.
This group will make improvements to their changing facilities. This grant will
pay for a contribution to lockers, ground works, electrical works, security alarms,
1 portacabin, and hire of skips.
This group will buy a range of educational toys and equipment, to extend its
range of activities and sessions. This grant will pay for arts & crafts equipment,
musical instruments, play dough & cutters, educational toys, games and
puzzles, books, ICT equipment (metal detectors, walkie talkies), display
materials, storage boxes, quiet area mat.
This group will buy Christmas street lighting and fittings in order to provide a
festive ambience in the local area. This grant will pay for lights, posts and
braces.
This group will run activity clubs for young people living in Sighthill, Glasgow.
The clubs will include drama, arts, life skills and sports. The grant will pay for
three sessional workers for one year.
This group will create a sensory garden and safe play area. An additional part of
the project will see a range of equipment purchased to inspire creativity and
improve social skills. The grant will pay for, aqmongst other things, 2 laptop
computers, seating, microwave, mirror panel, rose window, trampoline, trikes
and scooters, storage shed, 3 benches, construction and Lego toys, educational
materials, arts and crafts materials, books, seeds, soil and minor gardening
equipment.
This group will develop a health and well being project focussing on arts
activities which will be aimed at young people who have experienced domestic
abuse. Participants will build confidence and self esteem. This grant will help
pay for sessional worker fees, travel costs, and the purchase of books and
training materials, a laptop, software and arts & crafts materials.
This group will establish a new YouthBank in the East Centre and Calton areas
of Glasgow. The project will target and work with young people in disadvantaged
communities providing training and facilities to engage in community activities,
namely the YouthBank. The grant fwill go towards volunteer travel expenses,
hall hire, 2 laptops, printer, publicity & marketing materials, teambuilding &
training event, youth achievement award fees.
This group will purchase training equipment in order to provide martial arts
training to local young people at affordable rates. The grant will be used to
purchase a ring with safety fence, 200 safety mats, five punch bags, punch bag
brackets and fixings.
This group will buy a range of new bridge equipment for its members. This grant
will pay for duplicate boards, bidding boxes, playing cards and score cards.

This group will deliver an after school drama club at three high schools in the
local area to teach children new skills and explore various issues evident in
today's society. The grant will help pay for sessional staff costs, sessional staff
travel expenses, drama materials/resources and a theatre trip.

This group will upgrade the play area in its local park, providing a challenging
new play facility for children under 10. This grant will contribute towards the
upgrade, extension and fencing off of the play area.

also purchase a games console and television to provide further exercise
activities. The grant will go towards paying for fitness classes, music equipment,
interactive equipment and new age bowling.
This group will provide an outing for children and carers and a programme of
seasonal parties, reducing isolation and providing a recreational activity. This
grant will help pay for outing and party costs, stationery and snack equipment.

This group will purchase audio visual equipment in order to improve the
educational presentations given by the group. This grant will pay for the
purchase of two laptops, carry cases projector, screen, stand, and software.

This group will improve skateboarding opportunities for beginners in the East
Highlands, by providing coaching for 6-13 year olds and adding a section
suitable for beginners to its skate facilities. This grant will pay for 18 coaching
sessions, transport, skateboards and protective equipment, bus trips to indoor
skate parks, publicity and a contribution towards the supply and installation of
ramps.
Senior Alternatives are a new group who work with senior citizens in the local
area who have disabilities. This grant will pay for sessional staff costs,
specialised transport, facility hire, meals on outings, selection of board games,
tea dances, buffets, live entertainment, Christmas dinner, arts and crafts
materials.
This group will buy a selection of equipment and fittings for their new Information
and Heritage Centre. They will also use funds to train new volunteers. This
grant will go towards the costs of computers and software, volunteer training and
training in digitisation, photocopier, display materials, publicity and floor
coverings and blinds.
This group will celebrate international women's day by holding an event. This
will provide learning, social and development opportunities for women
throughout the Falkirk area. This grant will pay for venue costs, tutors' expenses,
catering, hospitality, childcare, administration and final evaluation meeting.

infrastructure and operations for young people in Lanarkshire. The grant will go
towards the purchase of SAGE software and training, purchase of server and
licences, create a database, two computers and software, and purchase of

their start up costs and go towards the costs of taking part in a football festival in
Blackpool. This grant will pay for strips, training equipment, rent , affiliation fees
and insurance, first aid training as well as costs for the Blackpool football

expand opportunites for club members and allow the club to provide a
professional quality service in their work with various community groups. The
grant will go towards the costs of a Bowens Esprit Gemini flash kit, remote flash
triggers, Sekonic flash meter, 2 Lastolite curtain backgrounds and a support
system for backgrounds.
This group will engage professionals to provide coaching and technical support
to allow them to challenge negative perceptions of disability through the medium
of drama. Participants will learn new skills and improve self esteem. This grant
will pay for drama coaching, production of a DVD and facilitator costs.

This group will organise and run training sessions in horticulture and woodwork
for adults, including people with learning disabilities and mental health issues,
living in the local authority area. The grant will fund 42 training sessions and
transport and materials.

variety of physical and recreational activities to older people. This grant will help
pay for a television, a DVD player, a Wii, Wii games, leads, trunking, brackets,
plugs, shelves, loop and amplifier.
This school will carry out improvement works on the school adventure trail which
will see the group incorporating a drainage system into the existing path. The
grant will fund the cost of creating preliminaries, cost of excavating and
removing sub base, cost of shaping soil moulds and sowing grass seeds,
contribution towards the supply, spread and compact cement and contribution
towards safe play matting.
This group will train its staff and users in a personal development programme
entitled STEPS, and in the Japanese system of natural healing called Reiki, as
part a power of wellbeing project. The grant will help pay for Steps to excellence
training/facilitators, initial Reiki 1 and 2 training for 5 staff, Reiki beds for three
venues, Reiki training for services users at 2 sites, evaluation of impacts and
lessons, and Reiki master training for 5 people.

problems to develop, write and produce a film drama project around mental

This group provides teleconferencing facilities for charities, voluntary
organisations and social enterprises. They will hold a series of workshops to
research the needs of a number of socially isolated groups in Scotland, such as
the elderly and people with disabilities, with a view to assisting in meeting these
needs. This grant will help pay for 6 training workshops, 3 workshop facilitators
for 6 days, training materials and resources, travel expenses and marketing
materials and resources.

coaching courses as part of their project to encourage more children and young
people to take up hockey. This grant will go towards the costs of pitch hire, hall
hire, coaching costs, coach training costs, hockey sticks and ball (indoor &
outdoor), bibs, goal keeping kits, training equipment, publicity and transport
costs.
This group will upgrade the path from the entrance to the clubhouse, providing
lighting and kerbs to make the area safer and provide a specialised wheelchair
for disabled bowlers. This grant will pay for a new path and lighting, the removal
of an existing flagpole, replacement lockers costs and a disabled wheelchair.

This group will organise a trip to London for 22 members. This grant will go
towards hotel accommodation, travel costs, bus passes, zone cards, attraction
package, mini bus hire and theatre trip.
This group will develop a three-hole junior golf course and practice area for the
benefit of junior members at the club. This will allow for better coaching and
freeing up of space on the main course.The grant will go towards, amogst other
things, the hiring of machines for land preparation, grass seed and sand, 40
