Vita
Nanyaporn Intaratep was born on December 12, 1977 right inside Bangkok, Thailand. She spent most of her childhood in Pathumthani Province, north of Bangkok. In 1998, she completed her Bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering at Kasetsart University in Bangkok, which at the time was the only non-military school in the country to offer an aerospace degree. After graduation, she went to Tajikistan for an international internship organized by IAESTE, collaborated in several projects with Kasetsart University and eventually took a lecturer position in the department of Aerospace Engineering at Kasetsart. She came to Virginia Tech to pursue her Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering under the supervision of Dr. James F. Marchman, III in 2000 and finished in May 2002. Then, she joined the Advance Turbulence Flow Research Group under the guidance of Dr. William J. Devenport. Nanyaporn graduated from the Aerospace and Ocean Engineering Department with a Doctoral degree in May, 2006.
