                      2009 NATIONAL CONVENTION & TRADE SHOW
                      SPEAKER PROPOSAL

The Canadian Marketing Association would like to thank you for your interest in speaking at the National
Convention & Trade Show to be held April 27-29, 2009 in Toronto.

In order to ensure the program represents an appropriate depth and breadth of marketing information we
require an outline of your proposed session, which will be reviewed by the program committee. Please
note that all sessions should be geared toward a senior level audience and under no circumstances
should be used to promote any services or companies.

3763 (or 1-800-267-8805 ext. 224). Please submit your proposal as soon as possible. We aim to confirm
all speakers by the end of October, 2008 and will accept proposals until the program is full.

REQUIREMENTS

Sessions may feature either one or two key speakers or may be in panel format (no more than three
panelists plus a moderator). Sessions should feature senior-level content and be geared to last one hour
including a Q&A period of about five minutes. All speakers are expected to:

1. share their information in an educational, non-commercial and non-self-promotional way (product
   suppliers are strongly encouraged to have a user present on a case study highlighting the application of
   the product);
2. provide, 3 weeks before the conference, educational handouts pertaining to the presentation (which
   CMA may post on the CMA web site for a limited time before and/or after the presentation);
3. use audio/visual support (the use of Powerpoint is strongly suggested).

All speakers receive a complimentary registration (including all sessions, meals, and activities) to the
Convention & Trade Show for the day on which they are speaking. A special rate is available for speakers
wishing to attend the entire Convention. Speakers are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.

CRITERIA

1. Originality: Our delegates attend the National Convention to learn about the latest trends what the
   future holds for marketing. We will evaluate, on its own merit, the uniqueness of your proposal as it
   relates to marketing and the integration of marketing channels and disciplines.

2. Needs: The final program is a result of recommendations from the Convention Program Committee
   (comprised of prominent industry professionals), CMA staff, CMA membership at large, and other
   industry professionals. Proposals are chosen that will advance the educational objectives of the
   Convention. Please keep in mind that delegates are looking for actionable ideas that they can take
   back and put to work.

3. Speaker & Company Qualifications: Please provide any available company literature, news articles,
   biographies or other documentation of the corporate and faculty level of expertise.
