"Child Cell Phone Agreement"
Waverly High School Cell Phone Agreement If a student brings a cell phone to school, WHS will assume that it has been authorized by the parent/guardian and the following expectations for cell phone use will apply. If my child, __________________________________ brings his/her cell phone to school, I understand that he/she will keep the cell phone turned off and put away during any class period. I understand that my daughter/son will be required to turn in her/his cell phone to the school office or staff member if any of the following should occur: • My child’s phone audibly rings or vibrates during the school day. • The phone is used by my child during any class time. • He/she uses the phone inappropriately at any time during the school day. Should this occur as a first time violation, I understand that I am accepting responsibility for personally picking up my child’s cell phone at the convenience of the school office staff, in accordance with our student handbook policy. Should this occur as a second violation, I understand that I am accepting responsibility for picking up my child’s cell phone and understand that my son/daughter will not be allowed to bring the phone back the phone to school for the remainder of the semester, in accordance with our student handbook policy. Waverly High School is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged phones. Please return this agreement to the school office by Friday, August 20, 2010.
